These represent problem reports covering all versions including experimental development code and obsolete releases. Bugs can be in one of several states: o - open A problem report has been submitted, no sanity checking performed. a - analyzed The problem is understood and a solution is being sought. f - feedback Further work requires additional information from the originator or the community - possibly confirmation of the effectiveness of a proposed solution. p - patched A patch has been committed, but some issues (MFC and / or confirmation from originator) are still open. r - repocopy The resolution of the problem report is dependent on a repocopy operation within the CVS repository which is awaiting completion. s - suspended The problem is not being worked on, due to lack of information or resources. This is a prime candidate for somebody who is looking for a project to do. If the problem cannot be solved at all, it will be closed, rather than suspended. c - closed A problem report is closed when any changes have been integrated, documented, and tested -- or when fixing the problem is abandoned. This processor is fabricated on 90nm process technology, and operates with 2.80 to 3.60 GHz (FSB 800MHz) = and Intel E7520/E7525/E7320 chipsets. * Intel PentiumR 4 Processor supporting Intel EM64T = ("Prescott"). This is fabricated on 90nm process technology, uses FC-LGA775 package, = and operates with 3.20F/3.40F/3.60F GHz and Intel 925X Express chipsets. The corresponding S-Spec numbers are SL7L9, SL7L8, SL7LA, SL7NZ, SL7PZ, and SL7PX. Note that processors marked as 5xx numbers do not support EM64T. Intel EM64T is an extended version of IA-32 (x86) and different from = Intel IA-64 (Itanium) architecture, which FreeBSD/ia64 supports. Some Intel's = old documentation refers to Intel EM64T as "64-bit extension technology" or "IA-32e". The information seems outdated. "Nacona" had many successors, EM64T is = now named Intel-64, many other Xeon processors support Intel-64 as well as = other processors with different names do. Socket- and package numbers are = either restrictive or do not exist any more. =20 Being not technically skilled myself, I can not help you to a better and more to the point description of processor compatibility, but the discussions in forums indicate that ther is a need for this. I still = hope to find an answer to my question: "Can I install Freebsd amd64 on my Dell = SC440 server with Xeon 3060 processor"=20 =20 My full respect for all the good work you do; have a very good X-mas=20 =20 =20 Kind regards =20 Walter Jansen Elst, The Netherlands From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Dec 20 22:50:02 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 075BE16A418 for ; Thu, 20 Dec 2007 22:50:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D87E613C44B for ; Thu, 20 Dec 2007 22:50:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (gnats@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.2) with ESMTP id lBKMo1E2061891 for ; Thu, 20 Dec 2007 22:50:01 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.2/8.14.1/Submit) id lBKMo1OM061890; Thu, 20 Dec 2007 22:50:01 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Resent-Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2007 22:50:01 GMT Resent-Message-Id: <200712202250.lBKMo1OM061890@freefall.freebsd.org> Resent-From: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org (GNATS Filer) Resent-To: freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org Resent-Reply-To: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, "Aryeh M. Otherwise they will simply vanish after next import. Any chance you could submit the changes directly to the OpenSSL project [1]? Then we would get the fixes when the next version of OpenSSL is imported. Does the source changes fix actual bugs or is it just style/warning? If they don't fix real bugs I would prefer for them also to go via OpenSSL to not divert from upstream more than needed. [1] http://www.openssl.org/support/rt.html -- Simon L. I think what "GV Damn" wants to say is that this link works but is now pointing to the wrong site. www.tcfs.it is now a web directory (a link collection basically). Problem with correcting the URL (the right one is probably http://tcfs.dia.unisa.it) is that this site is not working at the moment (returns only an empty page). So I am not sure what to do with this problem. Maybe we should remove the link totally as there is no useable website?
