I am presuming that your suggestions are meant for the ftp-master end, which I have no control over. Other sites are doing fine getting stuff from my end - the CTM creating computer - so I suspect that it is not a problem with a firewall at my end. I copied the message to peter@freebsd.org, because he is the person the error message from ftp-master is copied to. But is there someone else responsible for freebsd-master I could contact about this? I am copying this time to hubs@freebsd as well. Maybe they can help. Well, as cvsup4 is pointed at freebsd.isc.org, that would be me :) I do dispute the point made that our cluster hasn't updated in more than 24 hours. All members of the freebsd.isc.org cluster poll cvsup-master on a hourly basis - we are only a Yahoo peering session away from it, which helps. :) That being said - one of the servers did go down for about 5 hours, but it was sync'ed back up within 30 minutes after going back online. So if some monitoring system thinks we are out of sync, I would like to point out our cvsup logs which tell me otherwise... :) -Peter --=20 Peter_Losher@isc.org | ISC | OpenPGP 0xE8048D08 | "The bits must flow" --------------enig542AF035D7B56C7FCE10A18C Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Darwin) iD8DBQFHTHi5PtVx9OgEjQgRAnE2AJwNjRK2nwWz/nAOrBrgPfch7T7xGgCeMl4l Vt7hiX1xMOHrL1WaMBqvNs0= =bzeK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enig542AF035D7B56C7FCE10A18C-- From owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Nov 27 23:33:21 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AC97416A468; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 23:33:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from Cy.Schubert@komquats.com) Received: from pd3mo1so.prod.shaw.ca (idcmail-mo1so.shaw.ca [24.71.223.10]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8899413C455; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 23:33:21 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from Cy.Schubert@komquats.com) Received: from pd3mr5so.prod.shaw.ca (pd3mr5so-qfe3.prod.shaw.ca [10.0.141.12]) by l-daemon (Sun ONE Messaging Server 6.0 HotFix 1.01 (built Mar 15 2004)) with ESMTP id <0JS600AHJRXTXJ60@l-daemon>; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 15:32:17 -0700 (MST) Received: from pn2ml10so.prod.shaw.ca ([10.0.121.80]) by pd3mr5so.prod.shaw.ca (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.2-7.05 (built Sep 5 2006)) with ESMTP id <0JS600GG1RXNG370@pd3mr5so.prod.shaw.ca>; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 15:32:17 -0700 (MST) Received: from spqr.komquats.com ([24.68.216.215]) by l-daemon (Sun ONE Messaging Server 6.0 HotFix 1.01 (built Mar 15 2004)) with ESMTP id <0JS600IATRVZ6130@l-daemon>; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 15:31:11 -0700 (MST) Received: from cwsys.cwsent.com (cwsys [10.1.1.1]) by spqr.komquats.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 022F1279C2; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 14:31:11 -0800 (PST) Received: from cwsys (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by cwsys.cwsent.com (8.14.2/8.14.2) with ESMTP id lARMVAHS043078; Tue, 27 Nov 2007 14:31:10 -0800 X-URL: http://www.komquats.com/ Date: Tue, 27 Nov 2007 14:31:10 -0800 From: Cy Schubert In-reply-to: Message from Peter Losher "of Tue, 27 Nov 2007 12:06:11 PST." <474C78B3.1080409@isc.org> Sender: Cy.Schubert@komquats.com X-Sender: cy@cwsent.com To: Peter Losher Message-id: <200711272231.lARMVAHS043078@cwsys.cwsent.com> MIME-version: 1.0 X-Mailer: exmh version 2.7.2 01/07/2005 with nmh-1.2 Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-os: FreeBSD Cc: Cy Schubert , freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.org, Brad Davis Subject: Re: Cvsup4 Out of Sync X-BeenThere: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: Cy Schubert List-Id: "FreeBSD Distributions Hubs: mail sup ftp" List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 27 Nov 2007 23:33:21 -0000 In message <474C78B3.1080409@isc.org>, Peter Losher writes: > This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156) > --------------enig542AF035D7B56C7FCE10A18C > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable > > Brad Davis wrote: > > On Tue, Nov 27, 2007 at 10:24:32AM -0800, Cy Schubert wrote: > >> It appears that cvsup4 has not synced up with the CVS master in over 2= > 4=20 > >> hours. I've pointed to another CVSup server (cvsup11), then back to cvsup4. We're now back in business. I'm not exactly sure what managed to become corrupted but it appears that may be the case. -- Cheers, Cy Schubert FreeBSD UNIX: Web: http://www.FreeBSD.org e**(i*pi)+1=0
