Disconnect ethernet cable for less than 4 seconds. On reconnection, short cable fix reg is 0, and sis0 interface is non-functional. >Fix: Apply the following patch to sys/pci/if_sis.c --- if_sis.c.orig Fri Apr 27 12:41:14 2007 +++ if_sis.c Fri Apr 27 12:41:32 2007 @@ -1909,7 +1909,7 @@ if (sc->sis_type == SIS_TYPE_83815 && sc->sis_srr <= NS_SRR_15D) { CSR_WRITE_4(sc, NS_PHY_PAGE, 0x0001); CSR_WRITE_4(sc, NS_PHY_CR, 0x189C); - if (sc->sis_srr == NS_SRR_15C) { + if (sc->sis_srr <= NS_SRR_15D) { /* set val for c2 */ CSR_WRITE_4(sc, NS_PHY_TDATA, 0x0000); /* load/kill c2 */ >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Apr 28 09:03:59 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D08E716A409; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [69.147.83.40]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id ACD6E13C4B0; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (linimon@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id l3S93xib014147; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 GMT (envelope-from linimon@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from linimon@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id l3S93xtt014143; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 GMT (envelope-from linimon) Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 GMT From: Mark Linimon Message-Id: <200704280903.l3S93xtt014143@freefall.freebsd.org> To: patricktech@tothebridge.net, linimon@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: i386/84475: [pxe] FreeBSD 5.4 problems pxe booting X-BeenThere: freebsd-i386@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: I386-specific issues for FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:03:59 -0000 Synopsis: [pxe] FreeBSD 5.4 problems pxe booting State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: linimon State-Changed-When: Sat Apr 28 09:03:45 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: Is this still a problem on 6.2? http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=84475 From owner-freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Apr 28 09:11:19 2007 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D6D2416A403; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [69.147.83.40]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B2E4D13C4B8; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from linimon@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (linimon@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id l3S9BJAm015008; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 GMT (envelope-from linimon@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from linimon@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.4/8.13.4/Submit) id l3S9BJbt015004; Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 GMT (envelope-from linimon) Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 GMT From: Mark Linimon Message-Id: <200704280911.l3S9BJbt015004@freefall.freebsd.org> To: arutlupes@seznam.cz, linimon@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-acpi@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: i386/91748: acpi problem on Acer TravelMare 4652LMi (nvidia panic, cd/dvd not found, touchpad not work...etc) X-BeenThere: freebsd-i386@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: I386-specific issues for FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 28 Apr 2007 09:11:19 -0000 Synopsis: acpi problem on Acer TravelMare 4652LMi (nvidia panic, cd/dvd not found, touchpad not work...etc) State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: linimon State-Changed-When: Sat Apr 28 09:10:44 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: To submitter: is this still a problem with 6.2?
