Tried to be connected to two channel, thought that error from a channel...! 1. I start dhclient, long thinks and does not determine Ipv4, do network configuration and routing I by hands. 2. start of Xorg: Mozilla and Firefox work in the internet - a computer hangs up. 3. mount Samba, copy a file, and after 2-10min. a computer hangs up, there was it 5-10 times. 4. ftp works normally.ok? I did not activate other interface! Tried everything that could, in delivery such is present nowhere, did not find! (it was only from 2000-2003 year) If I understood correctly, an error is in a kernel.(if_xl.c???)? In ravines (log) nothing is present about it! Tried to turn off and include apci... I want to include this network because for it speed to become very rapid what at other network maps! I was not able to reproduce the first problem with sporadic hangs at boot. However I have not tested the laptop for long enough period. 2. I was not able to reproduce the panic on 'halt -p'. This problem seems to be fixed. 3. I WAS able to reproduce the last problem with cvsup & "re0: watchdog timeout". But there is a difference in the behaviour. Now when watchdog timeouts appear on the screen, the network is still usable. The cvsup does not finish successfully. When I tried csup, there also was a problem with watchdog timeouts, however the csup doesn't seem to block itself and it finishes its job successfully. The problems are definitely less serious than in FreeBSD 5.2.1R. I need to do a policy-based routing. All I need that packets coming from one ISP interface return to that interface (incoming connections’ source based routing) and the other hand do a IP based routing from the LAN (Some packets will goes out via ISP 1 some others via ISP 2 depending on IPs requested). I tried to do that with ipfw fwd but it didn’t work any way (e.g. with ip.forwarding enabled or no). Even I've disabled my static routes, default gw. Just it do nothing. Sample configs are ipfw add fwd ISP_gw from ${my lan} to any via ${eif} ipfw add fwd ISP_gw from ${my lan} to any out via ${eif} ipfw add fwd ISP_gw from any to any xmit ${eif} I don’t use nat, proxy. Just need to route. >How-To-Repeat: always >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: From owner-freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Jul 26 07:02:13 2007 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-i386@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2A2A716A421; Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from remko@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1B8C213C46A; Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from remko@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (remko@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.1/8.14.1) with ESMTP id l6Q72Cik065576; Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:12 GMT (envelope-from remko@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from remko@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.1/8.14.1/Submit) id l6Q72Cif065572; Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:12 GMT (envelope-from remko) Date: Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:12 GMT Message-Id: <200707260702.l6Q72Cif065572@freefall.freebsd.org> To: therior@ukr.net, remko@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-i386@FreeBSD.org From: remko@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: i386/114810: a computer droops from a network map! 3com 3c905c-tx Fast Etherlink Xl X-BeenThere: freebsd-i386@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: I386-specific issues for FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 26 Jul 2007 07:02:13 -0000 Synopsis: a computer droops from a network map! 3com 3c905c-tx Fast Etherlink Xl State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: remko State-Changed-When: Thu Jul 26 07:02:12 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: Please ask around on the questions@ or net@ mailinlists (http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions/) for initial information. This does not yet sound like a bug or anything that we can use to warrant a bugreport or fix it. In case people on the lists also think that this is indeed a bug, please also consider updating to 6-STABLE or -CURRENT to see whether that would resolve the problem (instructions can be found on the handbook). For this reason, ignore the day of week field when reading the clock on i386 rather than bailing if it is set incorrectly. Problems were seen on a number of platforms, including VMWare, qemu, EPIA ME6000, Epox-3PTA and ABIT-SL30T.
