Ideally, this would involve being able to work on FreeBSD-related development, either full or part-time. My career path has included many years of work on embedded systems (although to date this is not reflected in my FreeBSD contributions). I have worked on 8, 16, and 32-bit processors in C and assembler, for such various applications as instrumentation, process control, and telecommunications. I also have a long background in Unix and Unix-related work, including earlier BSD-based versions of VxWorks. In more recent years I joined a startup with some college associates to implement a Java-based server, specifically supporting several SQL databases to do workflow and Human Resources applications. I have continued with Java contracting since that time, but am not particularly attached to it. My work on FreeBSD has primarily involved working on the Ports Collection (most recently as part of the portmgr team) and on the Problem Reports database (most recently as part of the bugmaster team). As I own a home in Austin, I am not looking to relocate at this time; I am open to telecommuting with some percentage travel. I will be happy to supply a more complete resume, and references, upon request. Thanks, Mark Linimon
