This is another trick bankers have to get you to give them your payment sooner, so they can hold it in escrow and make more money off of you. The program arranges for you to make your mortgage payment bi-weekly. In other words, you cut your monthly payment in half and make it every two weeks. Basically, all the bank is doing is collecting an extra mortgage payment, over the course of a year and adding it to your principal loan amount. This cuts five to seven years off your 30-year mortgage term. Here's the secret they don't want you to know. First, you can do this without them. Simply add to your principal loan amount on any given month, when you can afford to do so. You'll learn more about this, in the section on ARMs. Second, the banks charge you a hefty setup fee, usually $250 to $350, as well as a monthly processing fee. You don't need to pay this, ever! Again, you simply add money to the principal loan, in the same check you use to pay your monthly mortgage. In fact, your mortgage invoice provides a box that specifically says, "Additional Principal." If you want to cut seven, 10 or even 15 years off your loan, just ask your mortgage professional how much you need to add each month or each year to meet that term. The most exciting part of this plan, though, is not the years you cut from the term as much as it is the tens of thousands of dollars in interest you save. For example, on a $150,000 loan, if you add just one extra payment each year to the principal loan amount, you'll save well over $60,000, if you keep your mortgage for its entire term. And, if you set it up through payroll deduction at your workplace, you won't even notice the money is gone. This is a very powerful program and a great way to beat the bankers at their own game. If you are interested in learning more about how much interest you can save by adding to the principal loan amount, go to a mortgage calculator site on the Internet, and ask the computer to do it for you. The best web site I have seen for this is Karl Jeacle's Mortgage Calculator. You can locate it on the Internet by simply doing a keyword search for mortgage calculator. Check it out, and you can beat the bankers at their own game. Mark Barnes is the author of the new novel, The League, the first work of fiction, based on fantasy football. He is also an investment real estate and home loan finance expert. Consider the fact that more Internet users are logging on to the information superhighway daily, and that more people want to utilize the Internet to get their message across, and the answer is obvious -- there's going to be a huge demand for web designers. Now is the chance to position yourself in a highly lucrative and growing field -- professional web design. In this article, I will show you how to become a web designer. To start with, you do not need any formal education or training qualifications to become a freelance web designer. However, they do come in handy as a persuasive tool to use to get some clients. At the least, it shows your competent. Also, it's a great way to learn the ins and outs of the Web design industry. Finally, completing education in web design also offers you the opportunity to expand your education and build your portfolio at the same time -- the work you do in school can be used as examples of your work to potential clients. Either way, you must somehow educate yourself on the basics of good web design. Whether this is done in a formal classroom setting, or through intense study on your own from books, it's obvious that you need to become fluent in coding language, when it comes to building a website. But that's not the only thing you need to learn. Once you learn the technical aspect of web design, next comes the business side of it. For many freelancers, most of their time is spent prospecting for new clients, instead of actually working on projects. If you don't know how to market your skills and attract customers, then it doesn't matter how good web designer you are. If you feel like you cannot make it as a freelancer, but are a very good web designer, you can work for a web design firm. While you probably won't have the opportunity to make as much money, you will be guaranteed work, and don't have to deal with the hassles involved with running a business. One of the best ways to learn how to become a web designer is to be mentored by a good web designer. They can teach you about the different aspects of the Web business, that you aren't likely to find in a classroom setting or from reading in a book. In conclusion, it's a great time to become a web designer. Whether you decide to educate yourself formally, or informally, you must be familiar with the various aspects of web design. Then, you must make a career choice on whether you want to be a freelance web designer, or if you want to work for a firm. I have had my share of frustrating run-ins with my own PC, and have threatened it with swift and painful death many times whenever it gave me errors...but for some reason that never seemed to work! I now know of a far easier way to solve computer error problems...run a top rated registry cleaner scan on your system at least once a week... It doesn't matter what version of Windows you are running, sooner or later you will most likely get an error of some kind (there are thousands to choose from) and you'll start searching for ways to eliminate that error as quickly as possible! Some of the more common errors I have had to deal with over the years are: windows freezes, long program hang times, computer crashes (very annoying!), runtime errors, fatal errors (sounds serious), blue screen of death, and others... Just imagine trying to troubleshoot your Windows operating system by yourself, and figuring out which program, entry, corrupted registry key, etc... is actually 'causing' the error to begin with... That task might not sound daunting for a Microsoft programmer, but for the 'normal' person, there are better things to do with your time (like watching grass grow) So you have the choice then, of paying a computer technician $60-??? dollars to come out to your house and fix your computer errors and problems for you...or you can download a highly effective 'registry cleaner' and run a scan on your computer by pushing one button. Registry cleaners are actually designed (by computer programmers) to eliminate errors, clean, defragment and compress your windows registry (a location within Windows where all critical data about every program loaded on your computer is stored). Most registry cleaners will find problems and fix them, but some of the better programs will allow you to schedule when they should run automatically (set it up and forget about it). And they will allow you to control and manage startup programs, set system restore points in case anything bad happens, and actually show you where specific problems were found and what kind of PC errors they are. There are a few things each person who is serious about keeping their computer running as fast as the day they brought it home should have in their "maintenance arsenal": * A good registry cleaner * A good spyware remover * A good anti virus program * A good anti spam program Having these tools can and WILL save you a lot of grief! Who wants their identity to be stolen because of spyware running on their system? Who wants all their valuable data corrupted and unuseable because of a virus that slipped through and infected your entire system? Who wants to put up with a slow computer that gives you errors every time you turn it on? Not me! The investment in a good registry cleaner can do the most good for your computer, as it will allow you to concentrate on actually using your PC instead of spending time reinstalling windows in an attempt to eliminate errors and make your computer faster. I have spent countless hours (days even) doing exactly that in the past, because I was so disgusted with my PC I just couldn't take it anymore...and I remember exactly how fun it was to reinstall 50+ windows programs and go through all those program settings to get them back to the way I liked them! I find satisfaction in helping others to avoid wasting as much time as I did trying to fix computer errors... Recommended: Run the Free RegCure scan on your PC. at:It is our top rated registry cleaner & repaired 822 errors on our test system...RegCure also increased our PC speed & performance by 15%, you can see our test video of RegCure here. However, it is not always as easy as dropping by the local park for a game of drop in football. What if a person wants to learn to play hockey? Or if someone has just moved into a new house near a golf course and wants to pick up some pointers on how to play, and get the most use out of their new location? Finding sports instruction can be a challenge, but it doesn?t have to be. Knowing where to look is half the battle. First, research is important before a single piece of sports equipment is purchased. ?Is this sport right for me?? is a question that must be honestly answered. Will there be ample time and space to practice? If a person is interested in pick up games or even joining an amateur league, are those things available locally? If not, how dedicated is the person to driving a long distance to pursue the sports hobby? The best way to fail at any given sport is to fail to think it through before deciding to begin. Next, go to the location where the sport will take place. If it is ice skating, drop by the local rink. If it is golf, head to the golf course and go to the clubhouse. Talk with the staff and find out if anyone offers lessons locally. Many times, sports facilities will offer group lessons for low cost for people to try their hand at a new sport. Being with others who are taking the same lessons can also be a great way to make new friends. However, if more intensive instruction is desired, private lessons can also be arranged. No matter which method is chosen, the benefits of sports instruction are greater skill and enjoyment at the game of choice. Wondering if your marketing message is dancing in the spotlight right in front of your target market or is busy cowering by the punch table nowhere near your customer base? Take this quiz and find out. 1. Overall, you would describe your marketing as: A. Going strong. You consistently get lots of good leads and sales from you= r marketing efforts. B. Getting better. You're seeing some positive results, but you're always looking for ways to improve. C. Flat. Your sales are neither growing nor shrinking. D. Don't ask. E. You don't do much marketing. Or any marketing for that matter. Customers pretty much find you. 2. Your last marketing campaign was: A. A huge success. It exceeded your expectations. B. No complaints. You're pleased with your results. C. Not sure. You didn't notice much change with your sales. D. A waste of good money. E. You can't remember your last campaign. In fact, you don't think you've ever had one. 3. At the last Chamber of Commerce meeting, you bumped into a woman who you felt would be your ideal customer. Her response after you introduce yoursel= f is: A. "I'm so glad I ran into you. I've been meaning to talk to you in more detail about how your business can help me out." B. "Oh, I think I remember hearing about you. Tell me more about what you do." C. "Sorry. What did you say you do again?" D. "Who are you?" E. "Excuse me. I need to refill my drink." 4. While working out at your health club, you find yourself exercising next to your sister's new boyfriend. Even though you know he has no interest in your business, he starts quizzing you about what you do. After you tell him= , he says: A. "Oh, that's interesting." And changes the subject. B. "Yes, I think I've heard about your business." And changes the subject. C. "Yes, I think I saw one of your ads in the paper last week." And changes the subject. D. "Oh course. I've been seeing your ads all over the place." And changes the subject. E. Changes the subject. 5. You run into one of your customers at a restaurant. C. Manages to describe one aspect okay, although he got a couple major points wrong. D. Described someone else's business. At least that's what you think he was doing. He certainly wasn't talking about your business. E. Didn't quite get your business' name right. For that matter, he didn't pronounce your name correctly either. 6. You feel like you're getting your money's and/or time's worth from your marketing efforts: A. Most definitely. B. Definitely. C. Not sure. D. Don't want to talk about it. E. You're getting a great return -- after all, you spend hardly any time or money marketing so ANY return is huge. 7. Overall, how would you rate your marketing in terms of meeting your overall business' goals? A. Exactly on track. B. Doing pretty good. For the most part, your marketing is helping you meet your business' goals. C. You're still in business so you guess something must be working. Althoug= h you're not exactly sure what. D. Business isn't so hot. E. What goals? Scoring: Mostly As. Your marketing message is definitely the life of the party. It's getting in front of your target market and your target market is responding to it. Better yet, you aren't wasting your efforts reaching people who have no interest in what your business does. Great job. The only caution I would offer is to not allow yourself to be lulled into a false sense of security. Things change. Markets shift. Don't allow your current success to blind you to a new competitor or a new product or a changing marketing landscape. History is littered with companies who allowe= d themselves to lose market share or even be toppled by a shift in the marketplace. Mostly Bs. Your marketing message may not be the star, but it's certainly turning heads. While you could be getting more from your marketing efforts, you've definitely accomplished much. Your target market is both getting the message and acting on it. You're seeing a slow and steady growth in your business. While everyone would love to the next "overnight" success, truthfully that'= s not terribly realistic. Marketing is about slow and steady growth =96 and e= ven an occasional setback. While huge marketing success is great as a goal, you should be very pleased with what you've accomplished. Mostly Cs. Your marketing message has about half of its dance card filled. Your business is flat. Probably as flat as your marketing. Your business is certainly not growing and may even be slowly declining. While there's nothing wrong with holding the status quo, this is still a precarious place to be. If you're not careful, you could find your business sliding into the "business is not so good" category. I would suggest taking a hard look at your marketing message. Maybe you're not reaching your target market at all. Maybe you're wasting your marketing efforts by getting your message in front of people who will never buy your products or services. Or maybe you are finding your target market, but your marketing message isn't persuading them to do business with you. Maybe the marketplace or your target market is changing. Or maybe it's a combination of things. Mostly Ds. Your marketing message is hiding in the bathroom and has been there for awhile. This is not a good place to be, but you already know this= . If it isn't too late, I would suggest a complete revamp of your entire marketing plan. Maybe your target market isn't right. Maybe you have too much competition. Maybe you're competing on price (never a wise selling point). Maybe you're not differentiating yourself enough from your competition. Maybe you're not explaining your product correctly. Or maybe it's something even deeper, a major problem with your product or business. But don't lose heart! It's still very possible to turn things around. Remember, all successful people suffered setbacks (and downright failures) at some point in their careers. You can make a comeback. Mostly Es. Your marketing message is still outside looking for a place to park. Many service-based, single-person businesses find themselves in this category =96 for instance consultants, coaches, graphic designers and (ahem= ) copywriters. You never really take the time to put together a marketing pla= n or market yourself in any orderly manner. When work falls into your lap, yo= u happily snatch it up. When it doesn't, you find yourself wringing your hand= s a lot. Yes, I too was in this category. When I first started my business, I didn't write down my goals and promoting myself was haphazard at best. Believe it or not, I was actually pretty successful for several years using this model= . I was lucky. I had good, loyal clients who I could count on for repeat projects. However, even with good clients, you still end up with the "feast or famine= " business model. Does this sound familiar? Work starts raining from the heavens, so you hole yourself in your office and focus on, what else? Getting the work done. And you're so busy with paying work, you stop promoting yourself. When you finish the work, you pick up your head, look around and discover there's nothing new waiting for you. So you rush out, start networking and contacting people and pretty soon the work is raining down again. And you stop promoting yourself because you're busy and... you get the picture. In this model, you aren't really growing your business. You don't have time= . You're either doing billable work or looking for billable work. Even if you use outside help during the busy times, the busy times don't last so you can't build your business. Speaking from someone who's been there, I would strongly, strongly urge you to take a hard look at your business, your goals and your marketing model. = A regular, sustained marketing campaign can lead to regular, sustained work. Your cash flow will even out, and you can start outsourcing certain tasks o= n a regular basis so you can start growing your business. (A note on Question 4 in case you thought I had the answers reversed. The point of this question is to find out if you've picked marketing vehicles that are reaching your target market or if your marketing is so scattered it's reaching people who have no interest in purchasing your products and services. Don't waste your time and money driving just anyone to your business =96 target people who have the interest and the means to purchase your products and services.) www.libertyleagueinternational.info www.libertyleagueconference.com www.beyondfreedom.com From owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Jan 8 10:15:07 2008 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6293D16A417 for ; Tue, 8 Jan 2008 10:15:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from candyshop999@gmail.com) Received: from hs-out-2122.google.com (hs-out-0708.google.com [64.233.178.243]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3759B13C46B for ; Tue, 8 Jan 2008 10:15:07 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from candyshop999@gmail.com) Received: by hs-out-2122.google.com with SMTP id h53so374402hsh.11 for ; Tue, 08 Jan 2008 02:15:06 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:received:received:message-id:date:from:to:subject:mime-version:content-type; bh=m0g03zRCIiCPsQW38F2FHXbjOpsQuL3suu+O89KSLAo=; b=OE3Qk9mIWcaAxGTJjj88VHyz9xOt37Zu1oRcSUqJBJq3dHvD01I4LbArl4w8xiR/GfMyE2cv0iliKRXNg8OIW3mxQ77HjPfubxVZZwPU22ZM4Xkfn0pdSpgFZhcYtgLJaOYNY2bDpXwWVGPbsYcK4y/MmV2s2MPpMda/SYRri4M= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=message-id:date:from:to:subject:mime-version:content-type; b=CRlAFM+uywMPL1/qRwKAta8ofSP5/GOB7Hyc4xwNB+NTRKc3zSipFHrgDZ48sFfCoE4oLTk+BY3Ugy7dkj0za6fLZ1kN89uu7QwAolpEnURmbLxaOO/KrFuiuPkfLllaEamJl69Elzf2x6CA/ZPm9BthAqO2vKnYsvzBN6tX0AM= Received: by 10.150.211.19 with SMTP id j19mr5845984ybg.61.1199787306772; Tue, 08 Jan 2008 02:15:06 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.150.156.8 with HTTP; Tue, 8 Jan 2008 02:15:06 -0800 (PST) Message-ID: Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2008 12:15:06 +0200 From: "Super Star" To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.5 Subject: Five Point Capital, Koch Equipment Elects New Board Member, Phillip Hinderaker X-BeenThere: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Internet Services Providers List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 08 Jan 2008 10:15:07 -0000 Five Point Capital, Koch Equipment Elects New Board Member, Phillip Hinderaker Kansas City, MO (PRWeb) January 30, 2007 -- Koch Equipment LLC announced today that Phillip Hinderaker has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective 1 January 2007. As pay-per-click costs increase, companies need to find new ways to save money to get visitors on their landing pages. For example, if you are using an expensive keyword that costs $5 per click, and it takes an average of 100 visitors to convert a sale, it would cost you $500 to make a sale by using pay-per-click. Target Logic has discovered that their clients can get a better return on their marketing dollar by using an online press release, optimized for search engines, and containing hyperlinks to their websites. The online press release is able to reach a broader audience and the text links bring people back to the website. "Companies can extend their brand and get more visibility by using online press releases. We helped one of our clients, a women's designer clothing company, create an online club that we advertised through online press releases. The company was able to add more than 5000 names to its e-mail database in just two months. In addition, it created a community of like-minded women that are easy to market to," said Stephen Gorgey, founder and president of Target Logic, a strategic Internet marketingcompany. Sometimes companies hesitate to write press releases, because they don't feel like they have anything newsworthy to say. Target Logics' client, the designer clothing company, used their online club to create a community of women who were more than just customers who bought clothing. Each month the company interviews famous people like hairdressers, writers, psychologists, make-up artists, and then makes these audio recordings available to their online club members. Now the company has newsworthy information every month for a press release. As word spreads about this online club, more and more women are joining. Through the use of online search engine optimized press releases, this company has successfully and economically broadened its reach on the Internet. Visit for more information on how strategic Internet marketing can increase your business profits.
