The test application is very simple : public class TestServer { public static void main(String[] args) { while(true) { System.out.println("Ping!"); try { Thread.sleep(2000); } catch (InterruptedException e) { e.printStackTrace(); } } } } and i start it with : /usr/local/jdk1.5.0/bin/java -cp myjar.jar \ -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false \ -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false \ -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=12459 \ -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote \ com.my.tools.util.TestServer Then when i connect to it with jconsole from other host i get this : # # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine: # # SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x0000000804abd697, pid=14898, tid=0x871600 # # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server
