Well, the "solution" suggests disabling an accelerating option in xorg.conf:

	Option "XaaNoOffscreenPixmaps"
		Disables accelerated draws into pixmaps stored
		in offscreen video memory.

Does not that mean, closing the PR is premature -- perhaps reclassifying it
as an x11's one would be more appropriate?
