Is rnoland@ the only person working on > this? AFAIK, yes... I'm intending to update to at least basic set of 7.5 ports. There are some issues that need to be resolved though. We can't update the Intel driver without losing drm support and the current driver doesn't build against Xserver 1.7.1. This is probably not a major patch-up job, but I haven't looked at it in detail yet. The other main issue is that updating libdrm will break nouveau support and I haven't decided what to do about that yet. I'm happy to have help as my TODO list is quite lengthy and so it tends to be more a question of what I feel like working on on any given day. We just need to figure out how to effectively coordinate multiple peoples efforts. I have many of the ports updated in my cvs tree, but a full review of currently shipping versions needs to be done, as well as resolve the issues mentioned above. robert. > Regards, > b. > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-x11@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-x11 > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-x11-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" -- Robert Noland FreeBSD From owner-freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Nov 10 20:07:26 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: x11@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DD2B0106566B for ; Tue, 10 Nov 2009 20:07:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from greg@b2.datasieve.net) Received: from b2.datasieve.net (b2.datasieve.net [208.83.220.190]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C20498FC16 for ; Tue, 10 Nov 2009 20:07:26 +0000 (UTC) Received: from b2.datasieve.net (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by b2.datasieve.net (8.14.3/8.13.3) with ESMTP id nAAJv3pB025357 for ; Tue, 10 Nov 2009 11:57:03 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from greg@b2.datasieve.net) Received: (from greg@localhost) by b2.datasieve.net (8.14.3/8.14.2/Submit) id nAAJuwug025356 for x11@freebsd.org; Tue, 10 Nov 2009 11:56:58 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from greg) Date: Tue, 10 Nov 2009 11:56:58 -0800 From: "Gregory W. I have WIP branches for GEM and TTM. I haven't done anything towards KMS yet. Both GEM and TTM are non-trivial ports though and my current work queue, I don't have an ETA on having anything functional. robert. > The other > > main issue is that updating libdrm will break nouveau support and I > > haven't decided what to do about that yet. > > > > I'm happy to have help as my TODO list is quite lengthy and so it tends > > to be more a question of what I feel like working on on any given day. > > We just need to figure out how to effectively coordinate multiple > > peoples efforts. > > > > I have many of the ports updated in my cvs tree, but a full review of > > currently shipping versions needs to be done, as well as resolve the > > issues mentioned above. > > > > robert. > > > >> Regards, > >> b. > >> _______________________________________________ > >> freebsd-x11@freebsd.org mailing list > >> http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-x11 > >> To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-x11-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" > -- Robert Noland FreeBSD From owner-freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Nov 13 13:42:17 2009 Return-Path: Delivered-To: x11@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 33FAB10656BA for ; Fri, 13 Nov 2009 13:42:17 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from office@atn.com) Received: from hm855.locaweb.com.br (hm855-2.locaweb.com.br [201.76.49.5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EBDB18FC1A for ; Fri, 13 Nov 2009 13:42:16 +0000 (UTC) Received: from hm2115 (hm2115.locaweb.com.br [201.76.59.104]) by hm855.locaweb.com.br (Postfix) with SMTP id DA66B173021 for ; Fri, 13 Nov 2009 11:29:22 -0200 (BRST) Date: Fri, 13 Nov 2009 11:29:22 -0200 To: x11@FreeBSD.org From: Dr. Harris Conklin MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Message-Id: <20091113134217.33FAB10656BA@hub.freebsd.org> Cc: Subject: Your Ref: SNT/ATM/822 X-BeenThere: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: dr.harrisc@gala.net List-Id: X11 on FreeBSD -- maintaining and support List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 13 Nov 2009 13:42:17 -0000 Our Ref: FGN/SNT/RAL Your Ref: SNT/ATM/822 Attn: I am directed to inform you that your payment verification and confirmations are correct, Therefore we are happy to inform you that arrangements have been concluded to effect your payment as soon as possible and in our bid to transparency. Basically, the system would have problems with opening the mouse device twice and you'd have a situation where xevents wouldn't occur until the mouse was moved. (Example: typing in an xterm the text wouldn't appear until you moved the mouse.) That problem was solved. However, I just upgraded my workstation to 8.0-RC2, and I've found the same sort of behaviour. Killing the moused appears to fix it. I was wondering if anyone else is seeing behaviour like this?
