That's the only place where you ignore it. Is that intended? - Unfortunately the driver in its current version can't be used with IPsec and with GELI where authentication is enabled. This is because the driver doesn't support sessions where both encryption and authentication is defined. Do you have plans to change it? I saw that you based crypto(9) bits on padlock, which does support sessions with authentication by calculating hashes in software. --=20 Pawel Jakub Dawidek http://www.wheelsystems.com pjd@FreeBSD.org http://www.FreeBSD.org FreeBSD committer Am I Evil? My goal was to develop fpu_kern_enter() KPI. I used the AESNI as an opportunity to test the KPI in real application. I may consider adding software-implemented authentification sometime later. I would not object if anybody do this instead of me. Since you are there, I want to confirm that you do not have objections against your copyright left in aesni.c. The file was copied from padlock.c and I felt that removing the copyright is wrong. Updated patch, that also includes some other changes, mainly additions to fpu_kern() KPI, that were discussed/requested by Fabien Thomas, is at http://people.freebsd.org/~kib/misc/aesni.2.patch. Thank you for your comments. --OqXX2KyyhehiiWxy Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (FreeBSD) iEYEARECAAYFAkvy31sACgkQC3+MBN1Mb4jaMQCfQ1jDeLLMjEjS+0Be/3uJtFqA Jr8AoK+qxE2ou8m96ZvW/AXpc58hY932 =mX/Y -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --OqXX2KyyhehiiWxy-- From owner-freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.ORG Fri May 21 10:40:03 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 89E16106564A for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:03 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gnats@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (unknown [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4E3878FC1D for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:03 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id o4LAe2mV061126 for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:02 GMT (envelope-from gnats@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gnats@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4/Submit) id o4LAe2N3061125; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:02 GMT (envelope-from gnats) Resent-Date: Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:02 GMT Resent-Message-Id: <201005211040.o4LAe2N3061125@freefall.freebsd.org> Resent-From: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org (GNATS Filer) Resent-To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Resent-Reply-To: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org, Nikolay Nevzorov Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C35A9106564A for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:32:11 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from nobody@FreeBSD.org) Received: from www.freebsd.org (www.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::21]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B310F8FC0C for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:32:11 +0000 (UTC) Received: from www.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by www.freebsd.org (8.14.3/8.14.3) with ESMTP id o4LAWAFT079443 for ; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:32:10 GMT (envelope-from nobody@www.freebsd.org) Received: (from nobody@localhost) by www.freebsd.org (8.14.3/8.14.3/Submit) id o4LAWAi5079442; Fri, 21 May 2010 10:32:10 GMT (envelope-from nobody) Message-Id: <201005211032.o4LAWAi5079442@www.freebsd.org> Date: Fri, 21 May 2010 10:32:10 GMT From: Nikolay Nevzorov To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org X-Send-Pr-Version: www-3.1 X-Mailman-Approved-At: Fri, 21 May 2010 11:21:17 +0000 Cc: Subject: amd64/146792: flowcleaner 100% cpu's core load X-BeenThere: freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the AMD64 platform List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 21 May 2010 10:40:03 -0000 >Number: 146792 >Category: amd64 >Synopsis: flowcleaner 100% cpu's core load >Confidential: no >Severity: critical >Priority: low >Responsible: freebsd-amd64 >State: open >Quarter: >Keywords: >Date-Required: >Class: sw-bug >Submitter-Id: current-users >Arrival-Date: Fri May 21 10:40:02 UTC 2010 >Closed-Date: >Last-Modified: >Originator: Nikolay Nevzorov >Release: 8-STABLE (apr 10 Arp) >Organization: Germes-Telecom >Environment: FreeBSD vpn.gtelecom.ru 8.0-STABLE FreeBSD 8.0-STABLE #2: Fri May 14 01:37:04 YEKST 2010 niko@vpn.gtelecom.ru:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/VPN amd64 >Description: On high-load network router since some time (1-5 days) process flowcleaner get's 100% load on a one CPU's core. ssh works, remote reboot can't be done, only hard reboot.
