Section 26.2.2.2.2 Port Names is where these names are first mentio= ned.=20 I skipped version 7, so don't know if a global replace is appropriate of if= both old and new names need to be mentioned until 7 is EOL. Section 26.3.1.2 PCs Acting as Terminals mentions cu(1) and tip(1), but omi= t any mention of what is needed to get them to work for normal users. It looks l= ike two options are adding authorized users to the dialer group, or making cu(1= ) and tip(1) setguid dialer to enable use for all users. Might be worth adding t= his to the man pages as well as the handbook. -Jed From owner-freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.ORG Sun Mar 14 15:50:46 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-doc@hub.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2238C1065670; Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from gavin@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::28]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EE9848FC14; Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:45 +0000 (UTC) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id o2EFoj8G001559; Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:45 GMT (envelope-from gavin@freefall.freebsd.org) Received: (from gavin@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.14.4/8.14.4/Submit) id o2EFojvl001513; Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:45 GMT (envelope-from gavin) Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:45 GMT Message-Id: <201003141550.o2EFojvl001513@freefall.freebsd.org> To: Julian.Stacey.jhs@berklix.org, gavin@FreeBSD.org, freebsd-doc@FreeBSD.org, gavin@FreeBSD.org From: gavin@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: docs/114184: [patch] [ndis]: add info to man 4 ndis X-BeenThere: freebsd-doc@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Documentation project List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2010 15:50:46 -0000 Synopsis: [patch] [ndis]: add info to man 4 ndis State-Changed-From-To: open->patched State-Changed-By: gavin State-Changed-When: Sun Mar 14 15:37:54 UTC 2010 State-Changed-Why: .Xr changes committed to head.
