Perhaps, src/VBox/HostDrivers/freebsd/Makefile or a kbuild/make-file above need to set DEBUG_FLAGS if KBUILD_TYPE is "debug". Further, building with debug symbols would result in "*.ko" and "*.ko.symbols" files produced. Right now only the former are installed, there is no provision for installing symbols files. And without them debug symbols will not be available. Last, it would be neat to add a port config option to enable building modules with CTF, so that they could be examined with dtrace. I didn't know that someone has actually ported the SDK to FreeBSD natively, so you don't have to use the linuxolator at all. The website mentions that it's still incomplete (and it doesn't support 2.2 "Froyo" yet), but I'll certainly give it a try. Best regards Oliver -- Oliver Fromme, secnetix GmbH & Co. I have been running VM's with and without SATA. I have also found that I continue to have freezes but have narrowed in mine to Linux support. So, for me at least, I have no more freezes in VirtualBox but good to know that they knocked out another bug I may have run into. Thanks!
