compatibility [1]. First hundred or more libraries will be included to the tracker freely for testing purposes. If anyone want to add some library then feel free to write me a request [2]. For example, "slf4j" library (from the list of FreeBSD Java Ports [3]) has an entry in the tracker at [4]. I am trying to get a VPN connection to the office and after googleing, it looked like this would be a good choice for FreeBSD. I am running 7.3-RELEASE FreeBSD. I had no problem building or installing, in fact it was fast and sweet! I followed some documentation I found on the setup and modifying the /etc/resolve.conf file and all went fine until I ran the script to invoke pptp and when it ran I got an error message stating basically that /usr/bin/ip was an unknown command. ip is a linux command but doesn't seem to be part of a default freebsd system. My question is....What if any is the equivalent of ip on freebsd or which port would I install to get ip or it's equivalent? -- Mike Sabroff msabroff@sbcglobal.net 608-877-0676 - Home 608-516-1801 - Cell -- Mike Sabroff msabroff@sbcglobal.net 608-877-0676 - Home 608-516-1801 - Cell From owner-freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Dec 14 18:09:06 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-java@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 40A741065672 for ; Tue, 14 Dec 2010 18:09:06 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from spatula@spatula.net) Received: from mail-gw0-f49.google.com (mail-gw0-f49.google.com [74.125.83.49]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C12628FC15 for ; Tue, 14 Dec 2010 18:09:05 +0000 (UTC) Received: by gwj20 with SMTP id 20so589433gwj.36 for ; Tue, 14 Dec 2010 10:09:05 -0800 (PST) MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.90.112.8 with SMTP id k8mr7057652agc.122.1292348499754; Tue, 14 Dec 2010 09:41:39 -0800 (PST) Sender: spatula@spatula.net Received: by 10.90.31.11 with HTTP; Tue, 14 Dec 2010 09:41:39 -0800 (PST) In-Reply-To: <4D07A1CC.4080406@sbcglobal.net> References: <4D07A1CC.4080406@sbcglobal.net> Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2010 09:41:39 -0800 X-Google-Sender-Auth: SiNdR8JYFSDNP81FDY4g_fJ9hXg Message-ID: From: Nicklas Johnson To: msabroff@sbcglobal.net Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.5 Cc: freebsd-java@freebsd.org Subject: Re: /usr/ports/net/pptpclient X-BeenThere: freebsd-java@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting Java to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 14 Dec 2010 18:09:06 -0000 This list is for discussion of the various Java ports on FreeBSD.
