Before I go into detail, it's worth mentioning that I realise some of you aren't based in NYC (or even the US) so I need to be clear that this is a permanent, on-site position. Telecommuting is not an option, and my client wont sponsor so you need to have either Citizenship, a GC or other working visa (EAD etc.) Ideally I'd like to send local applicants, but if you are in the US and genuinely open to relocation, then I will definitely consider presenting you. Anyway, here's the job spec, you can reach me at this email address. Thanks for your time! Demonstrated experience in applying shell scripting to manage automation tasks IP networking knowledge Experience working with Version control applications like Subversion Sponge-like ability to rapidly absorb and apply the most appropriate technology to difficult problems Ideal if you know all of some of the following: ----------------------------------------------------------- * FreeBSD (FreeBSD 6.x and 7.x (moving to 8.x soon)) * Using both ports and packages to maintain software * Using a build server to build packages and push them out to many machines * Pound/Nginx/Apache * BIND * PostFix Bonus if you can help with MySQL administrator (not a DBA though). If this position/location interests you please let me know asap... If you could enclose your "word" resume in your contact email that would be great! Once I get a response from you, I will be in touch right away to discuss in more detail.. salary/client etc. If you are not interested for any reason, please let me know... and be sure to forward to anyone who may be interested! Many thanks.. I look forward to hearing from you either way..
