Tested on postgresql database server. Uhm... if I ktrace a hanging process and I see some semop()s (I assume it is waiting on some event to happen), where on Linux this process is working correctly, then I would like to test this patch to see if the process still has the same problem? Or differently asked: this affects the operation of semop(2)? Portshaker just erased it all (yeah, it probably says something to that effect in the documentation). So, this makes portshaker unusable in my setup (and the setup of the people I learned this technique from) where I also track marcuscom ports (the FreeBSD/Gnome project) and others, including my own xorg-devel branch. So the first step when asking portshaker to merge ports is duplicating the FreeBSD ports collection (using rsync or zfs clone if it can). In oher words, the target is RESET. In your case, you have to either find another way to track BSD# ports in your all-in-one git repository (portshaker is not intended for that), or choose to have a all-in-one-without-mono git repository and merge it with BSD# ports using portshaker (I think it's odd however). In other word, /var/cache/portshaker/ports is your git repository (or a clone of it, or whatever... I am not a git user so will not provide advice), you hack there, you don't use portshaker -u / -U (or you add a custom update methode) and you merge your git repository and BSD# ports instead of FreeBSD and BSD# ports. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. So, I was incorrect when I said it would be unusable. However, the behavior of deleting my entire ports tree was unexpected. Right now, I'm just using portshaker until I have time to recover my ports tree. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
