I had a look at the port and there are a few things that we should resolve before the port is ready to get it into the tree. - add missing libltdl dependency (patch attached) - add missing runtime dependency glxinfo (graphics/mesa-demos) - fix graphics/mesa-demos port which is currently marked broken - fix the compile problem in xbmc/cores/paplayer/SIDCodec (had a look but could not find it yet) - what does the NONFREE option mean? should we restrict the port? any problems redistributing the distfile? - find a better solution for the int casts because of the different size of DWORD on linux and BSD - port should use the upcoming release branch [1] or better the beta release tags from [2] (not sure which one you use currently, trunk?) The remaining area is still though not always the same in different runs of the program. The camera with pwcview works at 320x240 and 640x480, but not at 352x288 (for the records, the same camera under 7.x and linux-gspca-kmod did work also at other resolutions, but linux-gspca-kmod is based on a different version of gspca so the problem might be there). Any idea on how to track the issue ? cheers luigi On Tue, Oct 05, 2010 at 11:42:09AM +0200, Alexander Leidinger wrote: > Quoting Jashank Jeremy (from Mon, 4 > Oct 2010 22:05:35 +1100): > > >On Mon, Oct 04, 2010 at 12:29:27PM +0200, Alexander Leidinger wrote: > >>Please specify your FreeBSD version. Sounds like an issue in webcamd, but if you want to see what skype is telling to do, you can instrument the linuxulator code (linux_ioctl.h) to let ir print what skype wants to do. After that you may have a better idea at what to look at in webcamd. Hi, i believe the correct check in etc/rc.d/webcamd should read if checkyesno hald_enable ; then command_args="$command_args -H" fi Using the form [ -n "${hald_enable}" ] always succeeds even when the variable is set to NO cheers luigi From owner-freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Oct 15 20:17:02 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-multimedia@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BAD97106564A for ; Fri, 15 Oct 2010 20:17:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from luigi@onelab2.iet.unipi.it) Received: from onelab2.iet.unipi.it (onelab2.iet.unipi.it [131.114.59.238]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7FA778FC0A for ; Fri, 15 Oct 2010 20:17:02 +0000 (UTC) Received: by onelab2.iet.unipi.it (Postfix, from userid 275) id 774DA73098; Fri, 15 Oct 2010 22:29:17 +0200 (CEST) Date: Fri, 15 Oct 2010 22:29:17 +0200 From: Luigi Rizzo To: Hans Petter Selasky , freebsd-multimedia@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20101015202917.GA59392@onelab2.iet.unipi.it> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.4.2.3i Cc: Subject: constraints on using cuse4bsd on stable/7 ? Removing the OSVERSION check in the Makefile lets the code build and load fine on 7.2-STABLE, and judging from what the code does there should not be much of an issue in using it on earlier versions ? I am asking because I would like to build some passthru device to create a video source that captures from x11 of even better from an external program so i can reuse existing x11 capture programs. cheers luigi On Wed, Sep 01, 2010 at 10:13:03PM +0200, Hans Petter Selasky wrote: > Hi, > > Please find ports patches attached for cuse4bsd and webcamd ports.
