I had not installed very many packages (no Xorg packages) and decided to pull in the xorg-dev tree. I followed the instructions on miwi's site: http://miwi.bsdcrew.de/2010/03/call-for-testing-x-org-7-5-for-freebsd/ and pulled in the Xorg 7.5 via SVN and then used miwi's script to merge this into my portstree. I had already done portsnap fetch update and had fully updated the small collection of ports I had installed. After merging the Xorg 7.5 SVN into /usr/ports, I did 'portmaster -af' and rebuilt everything. Then, I went into /usr/ports/x11/xorg and did a 'make install clean.' I got a build error with xcursorgen. So I did a 'make clean' and tried again but got the same error. Attached is 'xorg-dev.log' which shows the error when trying to build xorg. Also attached is a list of my pkg_info output and finally also attached is the config.log from xcursorgen. It seems maybe there is a build dependency missing? Thanks for the hard work! I plan to keep helping to test. --=20 Chess Griffin --MP_/xw/rW=nFlD5dw5BtUFj+Dqs-- --Sig_/KaG7HWTyRQCki/7GGsNnbT+ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkvJ5QcACgkQpPys/oTw17YxawCdH8Tanvym8heYTSW4br7Mz8me BioAn2/dYxRPPmgf/4LQ4r2eJa53AooW =3EZ6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/KaG7HWTyRQCki/7GGsNnbT+-- From owner-freebsd-x11@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Apr 17 18:36:15 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CEDAD106564A for ; Sat, 17 Apr 2010 18:36:15 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from chess@chessgriffin.com) Received: from out2.smtp.messagingengine.com (out2.smtp.messagingengine.com [66.111.4.26]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9B1148FC14 for ; Sat, 17 Apr 2010 18:36:15 +0000 (UTC) Received: from compute1.internal (compute1.internal [10.202.2.41]) by gateway1.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4685EEAB3C for ; Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:16:52 -0400 (EDT) Received: from heartbeat2.messagingengine.com ([10.202.2.161]) by compute1.internal (MEProxy); Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:16:52 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=messagingengine.com; h=date:from:to:subject:message-id:in-reply-to:references:mime-version:content-type; s=smtpout; bh=rCl1FCUGMSj9AoGRB4eh3fIu0SA=; b=ssbg6ypekoIferWLSU0Tmj8zuhTsPaeDVq+OgUrpMmFzoG3yeHthlgBdYwYyRUyPkZ3CM//Pv+EcuJnGGEYIK0y8rnJ8sfZF1TTe5y43Zljsh639iZwDHkHBrS1bxRPqaBfJZ/e1JL8l/SS1JsiSSFREy765B8ORWX9yhOSvYFI= X-Sasl-enc: vmZTP6VjYHQsi4k4IqiYQ1I7SLUXiz1vNCTtHpEqiMu1 1271528212 Received: from magnolia.localdomain (cpe-075-189-240-080.nc.res.rr.com [75.189.240.80]) by mail.messagingengine.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id F413B4288A for ; Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:16:51 -0400 (EDT) Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2010 14:16:09 -0400 From: Chess Griffin To: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20100417141609.027eb7e0@magnolia.localdomain> In-Reply-To: <20100417124247.75f80fa3@magnolia.localdomain> References: <20100417124247.75f80fa3@magnolia.localdomain> X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.5.0 (GTK+ 2.12.12; x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; boundary="Sig_/+V4.AJFkbfcVhw.tsjnMVE4"; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; micalg=PGP-SHA1 Subject: Re: Xorg 7.5 build issue X-BeenThere: freebsd-x11@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: X11 on FreeBSD -- maintaining and support List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 17 Apr 2010 18:36:15 -0000 --Sig_/+V4.AJFkbfcVhw.tsjnMVE4 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Sat, 17 Apr 2010 12:42:47 -0400 Chess Griffin wrote: > After merging the Xorg 7.5 SVN into /usr/ports, I did 'portmaster -af' > and rebuilt everything.
