After install open-vm-tools-313025_2 with pkg_add or from ports regular users are not able to get the full functionality in there graphical environment if FreeBSD runs as an VMware Guest. The reason is vmware-user-suid-wrapper a part of the package is not installed setuid with rootpermissions. The Administrator has to be inform about it or the binary has to be installed with the proper permissions

ls -ltar /usr/local/bin/vmware-user-suid-wrapper
