FYI, I recently got myself a 73.4 GB FC-AL hard drive for my old Sun Blade 1000. Today I installed FreeBSD 8.2-release on it, from CD (disc1). I used sysinstall, everything went smooth (I hadn't expected that). Very nice - thanks to the developers!
