One of the reasons for not updating it was that the new version was written in C++, but from I could find out the real reason is that this program is not used at all. It was used to generate some files for gcc that come pre generated with the latest tools in the gcc distributions. Anyone knows about any use of this that can justify updating it, or even keeping it? I think this can be safely removed from the base and that will be one less GNU piece to package and maintain. cheers, Pedro.
