I am aware of AP_MODENABLE. But the official FreeBSD pkg packages are built without this customization. I believe that the current default behavior is quite a nasty one. Not sure if at present there is any way to make it more user-friendly in the case of pkgng packages. P.S. Perhaps it would be easier to just leave httpd.conf alone and put all responsibility for its management on an administrator. It seems that that some module ports that do not use AP_GENPLIST do just that. -- Andriy Gapon From owner-freebsd-apache@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Nov 1 20:12:53 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: apache@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0EACA432 for ; Fri, 1 Nov 2013 20:12:53 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from scott-allendorf@uiowa.edu) Received: from newton.physics.uiowa.edu (newton.physics.uiowa.edu [128.255.34.132]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id CCD582590 for ; Fri, 1 Nov 2013 20:12:52 +0000 (UTC) Received: from [128.255.34.246] (osiris.physics.uiowa.edu [128.255.34.246]) (authenticated bits=0) by newton.physics.uiowa.edu (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id rA1KCiMO043089 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NO) for ; Fri, 1 Nov 2013 15:12:44 -0500 (CDT) (envelope-from scott-allendorf@uiowa.edu) Message-ID: <52740B3C.7060102@uiowa.edu> Date: Fri, 01 Nov 2013 15:12:44 -0500 From: Scott Allendorf Organization: The University of Iowa, Department of Physics and Astronomy User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/24.1.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: apache@freebsd.org Subject: Recent www/apache22 commit Content-Type: multipart/signed; protocol="application/pkcs7-signature"; micalg=sha1; boundary="------------ms030400080506000605060600" X-BeenThere: freebsd-apache@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: Support of apache-related ports List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 01 Nov 2013 20:12:53 -0000 This is a cryptographically signed message in MIME format. --------------ms030400080506000605060600 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable After the staging update to www/apache22 I removed my current apache22=20 installation and reinstalled. these things: Update to 9.2-RELEASE-p1: # freebsd-update fetch # freebsd-update install Install ports-tree (Because I disabled ports during installation): # portsnap fetch # porsnap extract Install Apache 2.2.25: # cd /usr/ports/apache22 # make config (options leave default) # make install Evrything looks good with compiling apache and dependencies, but get some errors at the end of the installation: ... ... ... ===> Installing for apache22-2.2.25 ===> Checking if www/apache22 already installed ===> Creating users and/or groups. Using existing group 'www'.
