It can be found here: http://dist.modpython.org/dist/ You are listed as the maintainer of this port but if I should be asking someone else or going about this in a different way please let me know. I've done a quick test and it seems at first the official distfile is not really usable to build packages. For example in the official source they try to resolve the version via git, this will work maybe on the dev system but not in clean build environments +version.c: + @MP_GIT_SHA=$$(git describe --always); \ + echo > version.c ; \ + echo "/* THIS FILE IS AUTO-GENERATED BY Makefile */" >> version.c ; \ + echo "#include \"mp_version.h\"" >> version.c ; \ + echo "const char * const mp_git_sha = \"$${MP_GIT_SHA}\";" >> version.c ; \ Arrrg, even no Changelog entry +.. _changes: + +******* +Changes +******* + ... old version changes ... Perhaps the version 3.4.1 could become a testing port but with such issues I see after the first look no reason to replace 3.3.1 with 3.4.1. -- olli From owner-freebsd-apache@FreeBSD.ORG Sat Nov 9 02:34:37 2013 Return-Path: Delivered-To: apache@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1 with cipher ADH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1DA18EC4; Sat, 9 Nov 2013 02:34:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from freebsd@allanjude.com) Received: from mx1.scaleengine.net (beauharnois2.bhs1.scaleengine.net [142.4.218.15]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E28D8205C; Sat, 9 Nov 2013 02:34:35 +0000 (UTC) Received: from [10.1.1.1] (S01060001abad1dea.hm.shawcable.net [50.70.108.129]) (Authenticated sender: allan.jude@scaleengine.com) by mx1.scaleengine.net (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id D76A64606D; Sat, 9 Nov 2013 02:34:32 +0000 (UTC) Message-ID: <527D9F38.20105@allanjude.com> Date: Fri, 08 Nov 2013 21:34:32 -0500 From: Allan Jude User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/24.1.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 To: freebsd-ports@freebsd.org Subject: ports default version system X-Enigmail-Version: 1.6 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="PTW3pHK34g7KGubgpK9aTmw6CwC3uD51q" Cc: flo@FreeBSD.org, apache@FreeBSD.org, clement@FreeBSD.org, acm@FreeBSD.org, ports@FreeBSD.org, pgsql@FreeBSD.org, ale@FreeBSD.org X-BeenThere: freebsd-apache@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.14 Precedence: list List-Id: Support of apache-related ports List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 09 Nov 2013 02:34:37 -0000 This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 4880 and 3156) --PTW3pHK34g7KGubgpK9aTmw6CwC3uD51q Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------000504020107060309020007" This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------000504020107060309020007 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Attached is a proposed patch for Mk/bsd.default-versions.mk Currently, perl, python, ruby and tcl are supported The patch adds support for apache, fpc, mysql, pgsql, and php Users can specify in /etc/make.conf DEFAULT_VERSIONS=3D perl5=3D5.18 ruby=3D2.0 php=3D5.3 mysql=3D55p and change the default version of php from lang/php5 to lang/php53 and mysql from database/mysql55-server to database/perconba55-server etc. The apache part of the patch might also consider deprecating the APACHE_PORT make.conf variable.
