I work with LSI from several > years. LSI SAS 9300-8e is a new HBA based on 12G SAS -capable LSISAS3008 chip, and it is mentioned nowhere in the mps(4) source code base. However LSI does provide driver (with source code!) for FreeBSD 7.x~9.x. Guess it souldn't take experienced programmer too long to merge it into base mps(4) driver. -Jia-Shiun.
