The two latest images I downloaded, burned to CD-ROM and attempted to boot were: FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-sparc64-20140714-r268622-disc1.iso FreeBSD-11.0-CURRENT-sparc64-20140804-r269497-disc1.iso They failed to boot the CD-ROM. They both failed like this: ok boot cdrom Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@d/cdrom@0,0:f File and args: >> FreeBSD/sparc64 boot block Boot path: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@d/cdrom@0,0:f Not ufs domount: can't read superblock panic: domount Program terminated ok Has anybody successfully gotten one of these images to boot lately? I went back to a 10-current image I had laying about, and it booted OK: FreeBSD-10.0-STABLE-sparc64-20140406-r264194-disc1.iso ok boot cdrom Boot device: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@d/cdrom@0,0:f File and args: >> FreeBSD/sparc64 boot block Boot path: /pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@d/cdrom@0,0:f Boot loader: /boot/loader Consoles: Open Firmware console FreeBSD/sparc64 bootstrap loader, Revision 1.0 (root@grind.freebsd.org, Mon Apr 7 03:49:42 UTC 2014) bootpath="/pci@1f,0/pci@1,1/ide@d/cdrom@0,0:a" Loading /boot/defaults/loader.conf /boot/kernel/kernel data=0xbd21c0+0xe8b90 syms=[0x8+0xc5a90+0x8+0xb8326] Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or any other key for command prompt. Testing would be appreciated. If anyone has a system with framebuffers currently unsupported by FreeBSD (XVR-500, for example), please let me know -- getting them online should be pretty simple. -Nathan On 07/29/14 18:16, Nathan Whitehorn wrote: > I haven't heard back from anyone.
