So, this situation sucks, but I've thought this over and I'd rather not MFC it myself. It's not just that I'd be quite uncomfortable merging a megabyte of somebody else's changes to somebody else's subsystem. It's also that while I've reviewed some of those, there were quite huge ones (like the whole amd64 support) that were not reviewed at all, and might end up being a security vulnerability. It's also that Linuxulator is not something I'm using on a regular basis (or actually at all, apart from quick detour to do some cleanups there), and it's highly probable I'd miss something in testing. Now, if someone wanted to put linuxulator port from 11 into ports, like we eg have audio/oss - I'll happily help with that. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. Would you mind? After fighting a little bit with arc, I at least have a local version of the patch with some minor changes as commented on in the review. Later today or tomorrow I will give the 32bit side some testing to see if it still works. If OK I may commit it to give more people the chance to play with the 64bit side (which needs manual override and will not be build by default on the package building cluster until we switch the default). I had thought about making the 64bit port install both the 32bit and 64bit files, since the 64bit repo contains slightly different versions of all of the 32bit .rpms that appear to have any conflicting files removed, so are designed to be installed along side. > - Is it a good idea to play around with the portname here (ok, this > fits into the first question)? Basically it comes down to: Are there 32bit only linux programs we want to run on the 64bit system along with 64bit linux programs? If yes, do we want to split out 64bit and 32bit, or do we decide to automatically install 32bit together with 64bit. I could life with the later option. This is not implemented in your patch, but could be added _when needed_ (given your comment that CentOS 7 is 64bit only... we may not need it). > > - Is it a good idea to play around with the portname here (ok, this > > fits into the first question)? Based upon your comment that CentOS 7 is 64bit only, I lean towards accepting it instead of introducing a new variable.
