I decided to port to the TP-LINK 1043nd v2, since I did the v1 port and it seems only fitting to also port to the v2 platform. https://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/mips/TL-WR1043NDv2 It's a QCA9558 SoC running at 720MHz, with 64MB RAM, 8MB flash and an AR8327N 10/100/1000 switch. It supports 2GHz 3x3 802.11n. I've added AR8327 vlan support, so you can run tagged/untagged vlans on the ethernet switch. The main quirk right now is that there's no unique MAC address for the wifi - it has to be set in the configuration file. I'm going to fix that soon. In short: it's actually a rather fast, rather nice looking MIPS router. They're under $50 on Amazon.com. -adrian From owner-freebsd-mips@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Mar 16 18:15:16 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher AECDH-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 2F7A644B for ; Mon, 16 Mar 2015 18:15:16 +0000 (UTC) Received: from mail-we0-x22c.google.com (mail-we0-x22c.google.com [IPv6:2a00:1450:400c:c03::22c]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id B3C63C1B for ; Mon, 16 Mar 2015 18:15:15 +0000 (UTC) Received: by wetk59 with SMTP id k59so44422816wet.3 for ; Mon, 16 Mar 2015 11:15:14 -0700 (PDT) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=message-id:reply-to:from:to:subject:date:mime-version:content-type :content-transfer-encoding; bh=+lNeyUHPKMLjt35dgFvCu2QceP2WlKVBGrl5LNiw1nA=; b=CuaY+cYbs5EP/dHh9ZhnhzVyxsUtjuCL6KxEaSmOiPT1kHkFC//W4b2UTlgL1BAc7Z 2Gsb9G7+WltEl7RjlmZqXLC6ThCXI6qFpKTi9+vya8+XuQICELcVn+J+LQWXq/XS84EO aGQeZ7keybvXt3fudszzcUXrxfodkCwRAwgKjfj1H1Jdld6U8jybEICFcYep2Rgk8H/f yKYYxiNvn7n4UHukN/OvqdCTB8J31ckUqSkzCcsrJ/uNYK47Y3ykBUSu6PWM6fIfNC5F wa02j1YkAvG9ezIobfKiunXhH0X9tmLbXy1dW8hZ66Ds3meudMsEK4j6IHa2/BGxvjCx pKng== X-Received: by 10.194.60.203 with SMTP id j11mr127807520wjr.5.1426529713374; Mon, 16 Mar 2015 11:15:13 -0700 (PDT) Received: from almani ([5.222.59.233]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPSA id k1sm16466561wjn.9.2015.03.16.11.15.09 for (version=TLSv1 cipher=RC4-SHA bits=128/128); Mon, 16 Mar 2015 11:15:10 -0700 (PDT) Message-ID: <017301d9-42079-01599063492593@almani> Reply-To: "Global Researchers Journals" From: "Global Researchers Journals" To: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org Subject: Call for Paper {March 2015 | Vol 05-Issue 03} Date: Mon, 16 Mar 2015 21:45:11 +0330 X-Priority: 3 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.18-1 X-BeenThere: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.18-1 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to MIPS List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 16 Mar 2015 18:15:16 -0000 Call for Paper Dear Colleagues You are cordially invited to submit or recommend papers to: [1]http://www.grjournals.com (March 2015 (Volume 05 | Issue 03) Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology Advances (JPPA) [2]http://grjournals.com/Default.aspx?tabid=6537 · Journal of Animal Production Advances (JAPA) [3]http://grjournals.com/Default.aspx?tabid=6538 Journal of Animal Science Advances (JASA) [4]http://grjournals.com/Default.aspx?tabid=6401 Journal of Veterinary Advances (JVA) [5]http://grjournals.com/Default.aspx?tabid=6536 Journal of Recent Advances in Agriculture (JRAA) [6]http://grjournals.com/Default.aspx?tabid=6878 Global Researchers Journals, a fast track peer-reviewed and open access academic journal published by Grjournals Publishing, which is one of the largest open access journal publishers around the world Grjournals is using online article submission, review and tracking system for quality and quick review processing. I've just brought up FreeBSD on the TP-Link TL-WDR3600. The freebsd-wifi-build scripts can build an image that one can flash on it without replacing the uboot firmware. It's an AR9344 SoC (560MHz) with 2x2 2GHz + 5GHz wifi, 128MB RAM, 8MB flash, 2 USB 2.0 ports (that work), 5 port gige switch (AR8327N, works) and a quirky set of GPIO pins to setup. Ugh. The only quick is the ath0/ath1 MAC addresses are 00:02:03:04:05:06. I'll eventually have to figure out a flexible way to hint that stuff. For now, just manually set ath0/ath1 MAC before creating VAPs. Thanks to Michael Kosarev for buying this for me! https://wiki.freebsd.org/FreeBSD/mips/TL-WDR3600 has more details and links. -a
