Or maybe just update the i386-wine wiki pages. thanks! Yes, I know it will affect all other ports that use LINUX_DIST_VER, which is why I tried to explain that clearly in comment 1 (and why the patch is "partial"). I was not aware of https://reviews.freebsd.org/D3428 which loo= ks like it addresses exactly what I described needs to be done in comment 1 - thanks for pointing it out. Those who visit this bug are encouraged to test the patches in that review and report success or problems. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Mon Jan 4 17:30:50 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 44B0DA61BBC for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2A0861EBD for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 28AE6A61BBB; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 283DAA61BBA for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206c::16:87]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 134E91EBC for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by freefall.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 124131C67; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: vbox@localmail.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 119F81C66 for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id F2C9F1EBA for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u04HUnGZ078480 for ; Mon, 4 Jan 2016 17:30:49 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: vbox@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 205643] emulators/virtualbox-ose-additions : not patched for 11.0-CURRENT vm_pageout_grow_cache replaced with vm_page_reclaim_contig Date: Mon, 04 Jan 2016 17:30:50 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: jkim@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Closed X-Bugzilla-Resolution: Overcome By Events X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: vbox@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback? We're by now in a state where I'm aware of only one remaining (albeit small) issue with the patch, and where we feel confident to call for others testing it. miwi published a Call for Testing (CFT) on his blog, http://miwi.cc/2016/01/cftcentos-6-7-userland-update/, and you can help us out by taking it for a spin with for example your favorite games/linux- things (or anything else that uses Linux, really) and reporting back whether it works as flawless as we hope, or whether something crashed for weird reasons and whether we should investigate it . The instructions are in the patch above, but basically. what you have to do is: 1. Download the patch. 2. Apply the patch. 3. Test things. 4. Report back. Also with the variation that you'll be able to take the 64 bit variants for a spin if you put this into make.conf before installing any of the linux_base-c6 or linux-c6-* ports. OVERRIDE_LINUX_BASE_PORT=c6_64 OVERRIDE_LINUX_NONBASE_PORTS=c6_64 So, that's about it. Please get back to us (emulation@) and tell us your experience.
