Does anyone know if this device is supported? It=E2=80=99s similar to the EdgeRouterLite (ERL) which does run FreeBSD. = The PoE has 2 WAN ethernet ports and 3 LAN ethernet ports. The ERL has 2 = WAN and 1 LAN ethernet ports. I found a bootable image for the ERL (FreeBSD 10.1) on the net and = installed it. Although this boots and runs OK, the kernel doesn=E2=80=99t = see the 3 LAN ports. I suspect they might be hanging off a second switch = (chipset?) on the motherboard and the kernel doesn=E2=80=99t know about = it or how to probe for it at boot time. FWIW Ubiquiti=E2=80=99s firmware is Linux. I=E2=80=99d prefer not to run = that or try to make sense of Linux kernel code and retro-fit that into = FreeBSD. Here=E2=80=99s what=E2=80=99s in dmesg.boot. The kernel =E2=80=9Csees=E2=80= =9D octe2 which presumably is the first of the LAN ethernet ports. But = it fails to do anything with it. Maybe a device driver needs tweaked to = recognise the slightly different chipset(s) for the PoE? I'd say stay away from POE unless you plan to run Ubiquiti software on it. =20 --=20 Alexander Kabaev --Sig_/Q3E_4ZdLKK85u4j9s=TJigh Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Description: Цифровая подпись OpenPGP -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQKTBAEBCgB9FiEExffZlZm2QeE8UVaRBxMimZJ5Ln4FAlhEVrxfFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEM1 RjdEOTk1OTlCNjQxRTEzQzUxNTY5MTA3MTMyMjk5OTI3OTJFN0UACgkQBxMimZJ5 Ln7yhxAAidIqEwjZMUvXBoZM5YEqSFeuyBnxdaImEfyLimKGczqUrjkB5jBnCHeT y7S4yiD5OPrBdi43ozQuUQorMMXWIzEe1AUgva9A5ldcAr1IbImANhO5d9SHNxs8 WqvUE1H5WS24MBgSpauI9duffJK+jgO7jRNErQWpWn2C3yxPePTuATeMOD60L2DX BUpLTNBTCAYxHZ7q/rLeQREV7yttwRrhm003Rs8CYSmzzNPxIA4JEvzaPjXcj6iv L8cVSFiSM/EXEa0fMAnt8+PApIBmVE/9K3lo+TvD1GrxxIzJxPZLhFLYZGqMgVSn NN5qckTwPlbpuqir55uh3bO15L0nnlQ/aBckXt7Hd+hErlPhNr/W43aK12OI0WME NLNBsvcI6d9SWD/J1aM+jHoqGEFuPm5SCAZjmvwQQaDihC4zWcWgUFeaDta4kYJ6 wsS2nNFsaPO2L1kqIyatFBphGA+GOBa1ZM/+VEmdaZTKR4NETU3Q+QsKGceviRpu 9aCnIJqZyNNPKnjR8ZcSrEz8Mb033K/OUWikLekUdr+6X0k0rIEmrKVn2YnVEe9x 6xqBtNuLx+Uobc9PvbkrdQZ3Mo3l+F9SbA8F/DtQPpHdBHBl5Bo9O+QP4EWjOJ1H SgVAbuHzKXiafsq75/XH8KYhCzevyQ0bpQ6K5Go4HPhEsWZKdhE= =3z6T -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Sig_/Q3E_4ZdLKK85u4j9s=TJigh-- From owner-freebsd-mips@freebsd.org Sun Dec 4 17:58:50 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mips@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4403FC67A8F for ; Sun, 4 Dec 2016 17:58:50 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from kabaev@gmail.com) Received: from mail-qk0-x229.google.com (mail-qk0-x229.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:400d:c09::229]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id F05171D73 for ; Sun, 4 Dec 2016 17:58:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from kabaev@gmail.com) Received: by mail-qk0-x229.google.com with SMTP id x190so326209132qkb.0 for ; Sun, 04 Dec 2016 09:58:49 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=20120113; h=date:from:to:cc:subject:message-id:in-reply-to:references :mime-version; bh=ylVmbo+E7nB3PzqdUULr8nOyb7MDHLUKZDTPZyeHrRE=; b=Y8PiHXsoIUMQhfWh07OLwGrW1pwsG1/LlWXgSagPfbAhEfo+EHu2UavuCzRSnJ6vte 8UyBpTuakmJyQM/uOT1pkQfdcmFZLkmuJoCVNUdZ0q3Xzaq2pSSZZk2r4NvaMXy/VtkI WwQk/sHzSUe+fOa6Qso44pNWRjQGgwJWA5Q1v+arailWqHMFWJVuQBADrfz7nnW5ecd9 DR9MTnlZBUwNqFEWbIteOBpe3N5pGVkj5NWuD048HZbQiyL1AuIEwJgDQrNk8bhh/ofZ SbyPEUTNUru5UEOkfAVbuIAxOY+XhdVERlZewz1eOrBPziV9pt5mYRJYNdckh+Toh4S7 K1NQ== X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:date:from:to:cc:subject:message-id:in-reply-to :references:mime-version; bh=ylVmbo+E7nB3PzqdUULr8nOyb7MDHLUKZDTPZyeHrRE=; b=Ehw2wfwccRdKkKAt/4PTPV8TIpQ/TxkYgsfwx3O4Tbxk5I5lwHHcP1yoicxDD4D8fu VZqA//hWSl9IpycRvrdEFZ0wPmGVRQ4X+5XFqMLZLV6FhlVbnODJAtNXETNN1YuM7Ywh ASkoJ+Hwjtg5op2VkKVUp9GIBTGKZxiwJEw0Xm4sdqqdT0HkmICTb4m9gzIVuAFl86kY dXCu4tNlkieGsNvsGdcQhaId/KwkeYi9FyA2HtNu9f5qC7DdziKdOrR4g3/2wk9HjBEc wxGdyZg0VL0ywbkIkHAEHI+eV9RqG0jQ0T4DhcYVIBNfwVkPZzEhMi7xRLKbbiE2etm4 NpNg== X-Gm-Message-State: AKaTC03E7FgGCws4LKEizOFJL7FnguaKLuEPhtwJ9OUV0sKOEzXlB2WMBQmeDvtr5eNvmg== X-Received: by 10.55.169.202 with SMTP id s193mr52764034qke.231.1480874329064; Sun, 04 Dec 2016 09:58:49 -0800 (PST) Received: from kan ([2601:18f:802:4680:226:18ff:fe00:232e]) by smtp.gmail.com with ESMTPSA id r60sm7547182qtd.24.2016.12.04.09.58.48 (version=TLS1_2 cipher=ECDHE-RSA-CHACHA20-POLY1305 bits=256/256); Sun, 04 Dec 2016 09:58:48 -0800 (PST) Date: Sun, 4 Dec 2016 12:58:43 -0500 From: Alexander Kabaev To: Jim Reid Cc: FreeBSD MIPS Mailing List Subject: Re: Support for Ubiquiti PoE Message-ID: <20161204125843.46428a71@kan> In-Reply-To: <20161204124739.2327ab48@kan> References: <33C2C0BC-B069-4EE8-9072-084B0ED0A6E4@rfc1035.com> <20161204124739.2327ab48@kan> X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.14.1 (GTK+ 2.24.29; amd64-portbld-freebsd12.0) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha512; boundary="Sig_/Av1ATW8CMSyxsdJHly2NBoQ"; protocol="application/pgp-signature" X-BeenThere: freebsd-mips@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to MIPS List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 04 Dec 2016 17:58:50 -0000 --Sig_/Av1ATW8CMSyxsdJHly2NBoQ Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable On Sun, 4 Dec 2016 12:47:39 -0500 Alexander Kabaev wrote: > On Sun, 4 Dec 2016 14:28:37 +0000 > Jim Reid wrote: >=20 > > Hi.
