I now realise that I erroneously committed a port that duplicates graphics/libtxc_dxtn. Given that these ports are not identical I suggest we merge the ports and drop one of them. To describe the major differences: graphics/s2tc: + Based on a newer version of upstream (at 20151228) + Provides the s2tc tools (including man pages) + Has working (and passing) unit tests graphics/libtxc_dxtn: - Does not provide the s2tc tools (explicitly intended) I am in favour of keeping s2tc if we include the tools, otherwise think we should drop that port. I'm currently seeing a blank screen on resume, which I'm told is due to the fact that the drm framework needs to turn the screen back on during resume. Of course, broadwell is unsupported at this time. I'm wondering, is there any option for getting resume working in the interim? Like the first couple of rows of "dmesg" or specifially details about your hardware? i915kms in its recent incarnation doe not support most recent iGPUs as found in Broadwell, Braswell and Skylake (that is roughly now 1 1/2 years back in time). Haswell is initially supported but seems to have still trouble. The codebase is Linux kernel 3.8 - compared to upcoming Linux 4.6 and its real nice support.
