The list of jails is available on http://pkg-status.freebsd.org/ where with enough clic= ks you can get to the build logs e.g., http://beefy2.nyi.freebsd.org/data/103amd64-quarterly/436927/logs/firefox-e= sr-45.8.0_1,1.log (last 2017Q1) http://beefy2.nyi.freebsd.org/data/103amd64-quarterly/437473/logs/firefox-e= sr-45.8.0_3,1.log (first 2017Q2) 2017Q1 has reached EOL as soon as 2017Q2 was built. comment 0 shows firefox= -esr from 2017Q1 installed on top of what appears 2016Q[1-3] set. Even then the solver should be able to figure out when to upgrade dependencies. Maybe it's confused by some packages built with non-default options or coming from a custom repo (only guesses due to not enough details). A year ago (or more) firefox dependend on gstreamer but it has never pulled libav port (bundled version was used until ports r397984). In short, "pkg install" alone is usually safe on a /quarterly repo until it switches to a new set. No one does QA for mixed sets - too many permutation= s. comment 0 also said "it fails to run" without quoting the actual errors suggests the reporter knows better than maintainer which is why the focus i= s on pkg and not firefox. ;) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org Tue Apr 4 13:53:45 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id BB3E2D2ECE3 for ; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A20167F1 for ; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id A14BDD2ECE2; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A0F98D2ECE1 for ; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 90B867EF for ; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v34Drjjs075665 for ; Tue, 4 Apr 2017 13:53:45 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: gecko@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 218323] www/firefox: firefox-esr (v45) package fails to run Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2017 13:53:45 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: scratch65535@att.net X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: pkg@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback+ X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: Gecko Rendering Engine issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2017 13:53:45 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D218323 --- Comment #7 from MMacD --- "comment 0 also said "it fails to run" without quoting the actual errors suggests the reporter knows better than maintainer which is why the focus i= s on pkg and not firefox. ;)" Well, that's the thing -- it didn't say anything, it just failed to run.
