The install looks at first successful, but after reboot there's nothing there. It just goes back to the install menu or if I remove the USB= -pin I just get a black screen with text "insert proper boot media". A look in BIOS/UEFI confirms that the harddrive is disappeared. When I overwrite the = disk with zeros it gets back in BIOS, so it seems there's nothing wrong with the harddrive. I tried FreeBSD both with ZFS and UFS formatting, but there's no difference= . It also doesn't matter if I try to install from UEFI or plain BIOS, it only changes the screen resolution, but otherwise there is no other difference. The computers Secure Boot is disengaged and CSM is engaged. As a test I tried to install Linux Mint and Ubuntu, and those installs with= no problem. As far as I can understand it has something to do with the formatting or partitioning. A computer workshop I've been talking to says that this is a fairly common problem and that it needs some kind of SATA-RAID driver. I do= n't know. There is a long thread on the TrueOS Community here https://discourse.trueos.org/t/tried-to-install-trueos-today-no-luck/216 (I don't know if I've chosen the right component above. If not, you may cha= nge it to the right one) --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-standards@freebsd.org Sun Jan 8 21:00:54 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-standards@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CDD91CA674F for ; Sun, 8 Jan 2017 21:00:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id AAAEB1A6B for ; Sun, 8 Jan 2017 21:00:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id v08L01r0092914 for ; Sun, 8 Jan 2017 21:00:54 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org) Message-Id: <201701082100.v08L01r0092914@kenobi.freebsd.org> From: bugzilla-noreply@FreeBSD.org To: freebsd-standards@FreeBSD.org Subject: Problem reports for freebsd-standards@FreeBSD.org that need special attention Date: Sun, 08 Jan 2017 21:00:54 +0000 X-BeenThere: freebsd-standards@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: Standards compliance List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sun, 08 Jan 2017 21:00:54 -0000 To view an individual PR, use: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=(Bug Id).
