It's not quite up to date with dragonflybsd - I've hit a merge conflict set that requires a little more thinking. So I'd appreciate some more iwm testing. I'm about 20 patches away from getting us to iwm in DFbsd circa January, and then I'll forward things along further after that. Hopefully the newer chipset support will come in around then too. -adrian From owner-freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Tue Jun 6 07:48:49 2017 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 069D1BF90F1 for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 07:48:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from valentin.vergez@stormshield.eu) Received: from work.stormshield.eu (gwlille.netasq.com [91.212.116.1]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id AB7C882065 for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 07:48:47 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from valentin.vergez@stormshield.eu) Received: from work.stormshield.eu (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by work.stormshield.eu (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C254B376030E for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 09:40:06 +0200 (CEST) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by work.stormshield.eu (Postfix) with ESMTP id B459F37603D6 for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 09:40:06 +0200 (CEST) Received: from work.stormshield.eu ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (work.stormshield.eu [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10026) with ESMTP id 8gfyFAwNTlPN for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 09:40:06 +0200 (CEST) Received: from work.stormshield.eu (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by work.stormshield.eu (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9CEB9376030E for ; Tue, 6 Jun 2017 09:40:06 +0200 (CEST) Date: Tue, 6 Jun 2017 09:40:06 +0200 (CEST) From: Valentin VERGEZ To: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Message-ID: <2139667852.56550680.1496734806335.JavaMail.zimbra@stormshield.eu> Subject: Regulatory update MIME-Version: 1.0 Thread-Topic: Regulatory update Thread-Index: u6NocgqoGedUlSa2KLfMvLhkKht3YA== Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Content-Filtered-By: Mailman/MimeDel 2.1.23 X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.23 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development." But I can't find how the file is built. Is it done manually ? And from which sources ? On FreeBSD HEAD : regdomain.xml#L433 , the max RF output power for ETSI regdomain is set to 30dBm. But, on ETSI 300 328 v2.1.1 ( ETSI 4.3.2.2 - WideBand RF output power and ETSI 4.3.1.2 - FHSS output power) the max is defined to 20dBm. In the same way, on LINUX the limit seems to be set to 20dBm too. I assume most of them didn't have any problem. When my laptop connected to the second router, connection was extremely slow, to the degree of being unusable. The first router though worked fine, I assume other people were equally distributed between them. S:N ratios were fluctuating so that the second was stronger at times. Is it possible that VHTCAP VHTOPMODE have something to do with the problem?
