Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-elastic mailing

Bug 228785: sysutils/beats does not respect rc variables
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D228785

--- Description ---
The rc scripts for the beats promise to respect for example the filebeat_co=
nf
variable, yet the script itself doesn't. Reproduce by setting
filebeat_conf=3D"/root/filebeat.yml" while removing /usr/local/etc/filebeat=
.yml
from the system. Upon starting filebeat using /usr/local/etc/rc.d/filebeat
start, a lot of noise will come your way about filebeat not being able to f=
ind
/usr/local/etc/filebeat.yml.
