I see in the archives and bugs.freebsd.org that there are problems with the given driver, so I'd like to help test and maybe debug the problems. What would be the right direction for someone like me who just started with kernel development? I would really like it to be part of GENERIC before 12.0 is released. Does anyone have any ideas? I could really use some assistance and have not heard anything back from anyone. "ifconfig wlan0 scan" immediately returns with no scan results. Where might the issues reside? Please please provide guidance. The main difference I see is that you must = set the MAC address of your primary interface on all your lagg interfaces, as documented in the handbook. Use your ethernet MAC address as I do here (this works BTW): case $kq_machine in 3623) hostname=3Ddaisy WLANADDR=3D"00:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" ETH=3Drl0;; 4752|*) hostname=3Dslippy WLANADDR=3D"20:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" ETH=3Dbge0;; esac ifconfig_wlan0=3D"WPA -bgscan scanvalid 16959 roaming manual bmiss 120" ifconfig_bge0=3D"-tso4 wol up" ifconfig_lagg0_ipv6=3D"inet6 -ifdisabled accept_rtadv autoconf" ifconfig_lagg0=3D"laggproto failover laggport $ETH laggport wlan0 DHCP" ifconfig_wlan0=3D"$MAC $ifconfig_wlan0 up" create_args_wlan0=3D"wlanaddr $WLANADDR" cloned_interfaces=3D"lagg0" The next question is, it appears you are configured for EAP. Is this correc= t? Does it work with PSK? --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Sat Jul 28 13:31:40 2018 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C36BD10521E4 for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 58E0E8F750 for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 1DE0510521DB; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:40 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0CC9910521DA for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:40 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id A222B8F742 for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:39 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id F0663949D for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:38 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id w6SDVcJj020330 for ; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:38 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id w6SDVcQf020329 for wireless@FreeBSD.org; Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:38 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: wireless@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 230098] wpa_supplicant v2.6 is not connected at startup (was: wlan is not connected after reboot) Date: Sat, 28 Jul 2018 13:31:39 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: wireless X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: cy@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: cy@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: assigned_to Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.27 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development."
