Ports have to build against default base configuration. I don't have that knob defined on this 12.0 system, but llvm-objdump is installed anyway -- perhaps, on 12.0 it is on by default. At any rate, it is a) not used, b) not needed, c) is a small utility, which, if actually needed, could've been installed via a port of its own. -mi From owner-freebsd-gecko@freebsd.org Mon Jun 17 04:11:21 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-gecko@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8310715D2AD7 for ; Rust needs to use its own LLVM, which not only tracks upstream trunk, but has been forked and a few API bits added (which will not be upstreamed) for Rust use. Some of these API bits are required to build gecko@ programs. --=20 Charlie Li =E2=80=A6nope, still don't have an exit line. I'll side with Jan, it's ridiculous or at least not first priority to create custom patches for this case (which will require maintenance and may break completely at some point in the future) when there's a full llvm readily available from our own ports collection. Anyway, what's the problem with building llvm? Rust needs to use its own LLVM, which not only tracks upstream > trunk, but has been forked and a few API bits added (which will not be > upstreamed) for Rust use. Some of these API bits are required to build > gecko@ programs. This is most unfortunate. Can we have these few API bits added to our own port(s) of LLVM? And, maybe, even to the base? Alternatively, remove ~/.config/pulse and let PA pick up default from hw.snd.default_unit. Firefox can also set PA sink via media.cubeb.output_device in about:config based on Name from Output Devices in about:support (Media section) but for some reason it doesn't work here. https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/rev/be9f154873f1/dom/media/GraphDriver.cpp#577-590
