We can re-enable it later if / when firmware rate adaptation will be ready; however, this step will be required anyway - for firmware-less builds. - Force RTS / CTS protection frame rate to CCK1 (this rate works fine without any additional setup; no better workaround is known yet). The problem was not observed on the channel 1 or with CCK1 rate enforced ('ifconfig wlan0 ucastrate 1' for 11 b/g; not possible for 11n networks due to ifconfig(8) bug). * I'm not sure if it works before r290439 because - AFAIR - I never seen firmware rate adaptation working for 10-STABLE urtwn(4) (It needs EN_BCN bit set and RSSI updates at least). In a few weeks a new machine should arrive with the Killer 1435 wifi card. I would like to run FreeBSD on this machine but I read that this card is not supported. At what point are you with the development of the driver? The technical specifications of this card are as follows: Single-chip, 2.4 / 5 GHz, 2 stream 802.11a / b / g / n / ac and BT 4.2 11ac 2X2 WLAN standards with low power PCIe (with L1 sub-state) interfaces + BT 4.2 with USB1.1 interface. Module specifications: Next generation form factor, M.2, module size = 22mm x 30mm, Key (A-E) Chipset: QCA6174A I would like to collaborate with you for the development and testing of these drivers or other, obviously documenting me first well. Can you give me some guidelines to get started? with regard BSDUser From owner-freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org Fri Mar 8 21:55:27 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 3AFC5152A0E1 for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:27 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C5F638DB3D for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 80077152A0DD; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:26 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: wireless@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 58962152A0DB for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id E17B58DB36 for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:25 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 2C6E16A56 for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:25 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x28LtPk9016912 for ; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:25 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x28LtPRB016911 for wireless@FreeBSD.org; Fri, 8 Mar 2019 21:55:25 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: wireless@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 227044] Add support for Intel 9260 and 5165 (iwm) wireless devices Date: Fri, 08 Mar 2019 21:55:25 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: wireless X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: feature, needs-patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: nilsjohannsen@gmx.de X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: wireless@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: attachments.created Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-wireless@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: "Discussions of 802.11 stack, tools device driver development."
