I am using Pyt= hon webdriver to control Chrome in headless mode through the chromedriver built= as part of www/chromium. The error message I received was: raise exception_class(message, screen, stacktrace) selenium.common.exceptions.SessionNotCreatedException: Message: session not created: Chrome failed to start: exited normally. (chrome not reachable) (The process started from chrome location /usr/local/bin/chrome is no lon= ger running, so ChromeDriver is assuming that Chrome has crashed.) Testing --headless from the command line with the following command fails to save a screenshot and exits with the normal exit code 0. So, in short, it seems like --headless just doesn't work correctly anymore.=20 /usr/local/bin/chrome --headless --disable-gpu --screenshot=20 https://www.google.com I first noticed with the build chromium-122.0.6261.111. I also tried using the most recent version, chromium-123.0.6312.122. With a little work, I reverted back to chromium-118.0.5993.88, and everythi= ng worked as expected. The command line generates a screenshot, and my tests using Python webdriver pass. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From nobody Wed Apr 17 17:24:01 2024 X-Original-To: chromium@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4VKSSL65Nnz5HH4v for ; Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:02 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4VKSSK6X51z41gP for ; Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1713374641; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=QB6fGLlLX4am3pFL/7VQhjSkQYHl43hLXHTM9fqClMd47kiMDCkoCYlJMdzzxWGfGOLg3k k+O2o7eEJluETawJ7XlWt8R0k1mbK9ozU5NUtkSLF15HySvGmarrAHj5u599X457V3h9jC 4ji0KncjgNWqsJuIyuobSYgzph8OUlBPRUYEy6HICpFU+zhMwn0BBmdkxwddq2ppVRcsps l7DIAZ/l80ZBNsKUOKsw2SOF1OMH0uPHx3r5rpPCgqfFZe8e9DSfHkgaDkKYB+9lBcxX5o pxXT7S0OFluAV12AER+hGLx05jlDgSFriAm3Adb2PYDIgR0pMfYyJgWzMrhQYQ== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1713374641; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding: in-reply-to:in-reply-to:references:references; bh=+RWvbFJ8FiouNp+4gDk/JbK6R4mn42vnHJgzm4Eq1Gg=; b=HJWV73TTB9DcYLrhy6DMh8YlW+O3MsGHtM97JVoeZM9DDP09gGwdlthvXl8LJQYH5VOL0V aOA2zEQZpgp4vnh4N3ipZTCcXHd+y5HhCAlkYqOIjxjon+IqGKdiiTSH5pZO6rBOyn0v9C Db1ZOFpsJPdYoWjUNKc48xKMBc4MX7Qlhm7KEy7qnXoK6QGTM3fkIVEYDNMueuEF0+Kriq XNeMq9Cbk5gNLXjbz/AZdWBN8ug2jdkIjzBhj/Ick1uMqPe4r26QUPC747GFXiyPhonw0v +BEP26XxSccaYpOlalRBnJuYe0jBzemWfGeqP/rIp6p5xGzQkJDG9HqoWTsLxg== Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::50:1d]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4VKSSK67fczbbD for ; Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:01 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.5]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id 43HHO1xj097683 for ; Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:01 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id 43HHO1lo097681 for chromium@FreeBSD.org; Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:01 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: chromium@FreeBSD.org Subject: maintainer-feedback requested: [Bug 278413] www/chromium: --headless seems to be broken Date: Wed, 17 Apr 2024 17:24:01 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Type: request X-Bugzilla-Product: Ports & Packages X-Bugzilla-Component: Individual Port(s) X-Bugzilla-Version: Latest X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: chromium@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: maintainer-feedback?
