Can you check if in your /usr/ports/editors/openoffice.org-2/files=20
 there is a "patch-i75190".

If you are going to rebuild OOO, could you just change=20
 "--enable-symbols=3DSMALL" to "--enable-symbols=3DTRUE" in=20
files/Makefile.knobs and then, when the ooo crashes preserve the=20
 "soffice.bin.core" file

 and run

 gdb /usr/local/openoffice.org-2.4.0/program/soffice.bin soffice.bin.core

 and then run the command:

"bt" and send me the output.

I will have a look at your ktraces anyway.

What kind of mozilla browser are you using?

As per your root and non-root problem, can you check this:

 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D88822

and access rights and file ownership to your Mozilla profile?
