I am seting up a HP Omnibook 7100 to use FreeBSD 4.x Chris D. Faulhaber was kind enough to give me a pointer to http://klee.cs.depaul.edu/ajeffrey/omnibook.html This page is linux centric, and talks about getting XFree86 to work with the graphics chip set, and internal LCD display of this machine. I have been able to get a usable disply on the LCD as descibed on this page. That is by switching to the external dispay before switching modes. If I don''t do this, the LCD display is unusable. It does not however lock up the machien,as happens under Linux (acording to this page). However the pagge also mentions that a newer kernel using a differnt console driver will solve this problem. I was wondering how this applied to FreeBSD's console driver code? -- Stan Brown stanb@netcom.com 404-996-6955 Factory Automation Systems Atlanta Ga. -- Look, look, see Windows 95.
