But, I upgraded the system from 3.4r to 4.0 recently. I do the same things: 1. modify kernel: device pcm0 irq 10 ...... (I deleted the "controller pnp0", because it is osbelete) then config -r KERNEL, make depend all install OK!! reboot 2. /dev ./MAKEDEV snd0 It can not work yet. This sound card can=20 work normally.
But, I upgraded the=20 system from 3.4r to 4.0 recently.
I do the same=20 things:
  1. modify=20 kernel:
     device pcm0 irq 10=20 ......
     (I deleted=20 the "controller pnp0", because it is osbelete)
     then config -r = KERNEL, make=20 depend all install OK!!
     reboot
  2.=20 /dev
     ./MAKEDEV=20 snd0
 
It can not work yet. I=20 see the Information in KDE; it really be drived....but can not=20 speak!!
