 *  lrwxr-xr-x bin/bin           0 Jul  1 08:54 1997 bin/cprn -> /usr/local/bin/prn

This is a problem of the install target. If it uses a relative
symlink ("bin/cprn -> prn"), pkg_create (or actually the underlying
"tar") won't do anything bad.

There is no need to use an absolute symlink anyway.
