The fbsd manual index entry for /etc/resolv.conf refers to the chapter for DNS. I'm
not running DNS and don't plan to. Do I need /etc/resolv.conf. I don't have one at
present.

I can ping my ISP. I can ping other ISP's. I appear to be able to ping any valid
numeric IP address.
