The revoke() function is currently supported only for block and character special device files. It is normally used to prepare a terminal device for a new login session, preventing any access by a previous user of the terminal. However, someone implimented VOP_REVOKE a while ago (looking at sys/kern/vnode_if.src 1.14 "VFS Mega Commit" mentions this), and it now seems to work fine on executables, directories, NFS files and the like. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: It could probably not mention this restriction any more. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-doc" in the body of the message
