No problem, I have been puzzled myself on what the most appropriate
place is to put installation instructions.

The hardware notes apparantly are not read too well judging from the
questions on the lists.

I personally consider UPDATING more geared towards people updating from src,
not for people installing from a Release media like CDROM.

What probably is lacking is a more to the point installation manual which
allows platform/machine specific instructions. Particularly for the non-x86
ports this is important.
