G'Day, I upgraded to 4.2 -> 4.4-STABLE from 4.1 a week or so ago. 4.4 went well, and I ran mergemaster to install the files I didn't already have (oh build/installworld was A-OK). Now when I attempt to build an custom kernel I get some this: umass.o: In function `umass_cam_attach_sim': umass.o(.text+0x1257): undefined reference to `cam_simq_alloc' umass.o(.text+0x127d): undefined reference to `cam_sim_alloc' umass.o(.text+0x1296): undefined reference to `xpt_bus_register' umass.o(.text+0x12a6): undefined reference to `cam_simq_free' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_rescan_callback': umass.o(.text+0x12bf): undefined reference to `xpt_free_path' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_rescan': umass.o(.text+0x1309): undefined reference to `xpt_periph' umass.o(.text+0x1312): undefined reference to `xpt_create_path' umass.o(.text+0x1325): undefined reference to `xpt_setup_ccb' umass.o(.text+0x1340): undefined reference to `xpt_action' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_detach_sim': umass.o(.text+0x13f7): undefined reference to `xpt_bus_deregister' umass.o(.text+0x1415): undefined reference to `cam_sim_free' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_detach': umass.o(.text+0x1456): undefined reference to `xpt_create_path' umass.o(.text+0x1477): undefined reference to `xpt_async' umass.o(.text+0x147f): undefined reference to `xpt_free_path' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_action': umass.o(.text+0x179d): undefined reference to `xpt_done' umass.o(.text+0x17ad): undefined reference to `xpt_done' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_cb': umass.o(.text+0x18a1): undefined reference to `xpt_done' umass.o: In function `umass_cam_sense_cb': umass.o(.text+0x1918): undefined reference to `xpt_done' umass.o(.text+0x1929): undefined reference to `xpt_done' *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/FREEBIE. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src. I check for /etc/make.conf and it was not there. So I installed my backup. The backup only has: CFLAGS= -O -pipe NOPROFILE= true Now, I believe I got that setup from a tutorial somewhere. My custom kernel has only one added line the to GENERIC: device pcm TIA To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
