I think the libraries should be binary compatible; it's building the
Motif itself that relies on the X11R5isms... ie: Xt and Xext.

I suspect it would work, but it might still require the old locale
stuff (ala NetScape), etc.

I haven't found any manifest constants that have changed (some structure
exposures have, like GC, but that was mostly code that you were suppose
to deprecate but I didn't since R4).  Doesn't mean there aren't any,
though.

I haven't seen a Motif built against R6 headers, though.
