I can not change it anymore. When I run gnome with startx in console everything is fine and there are four workspaces. This bothered me because I like to work on eight areas . /proc is mounted. and an error pops up on the first ttys1: Code: GConf Error: Failed to contact configuration server; some possible causes are that you need to enable TCP/IP networking for ORBit, or you have stale NFS locks due to a system crash. See http://projects.gnome.org/gconf/ for information. (Details - 1: Failed to get connection to session: Did not receive a reply. And often repeats itself this error. When run applications which use gconf-editor This error occurs from 8-stable/prelease freebsd version.
