Hi.

When I specify xdm to load in my rc.local, I cannot type anything on the
X screen and cannot switch to another term (i.e. tty0, tty1, etc).

I can only hit ctrl-alt-del, the machine reboots and I have to ctrl-c
during bootup to bypass the xdm load. I then edited out xdm in my rc.local,
log in as root, run xdm and logout, and it works fine.

What is wrong / what am I doing wrong ?
