Well Wal-Mart is selling pcs with Linux on them
for $200. They are 800mhz but are powered by a Via processor.
I've never heard of Via. Who makes that?

Does FreeBSD run on Via processors?

Anyway, you could get yourself a cluster for $1000
but then again there are probably better sources
that cost less for used equipment running
Intel processors.
