Starting the xterm in a shell reveiled the following error message: $ xterm /usr/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/X11R6/lib/libXaw.so.7: Unsupported relocation type 203 in non-PLT relocations Strangely I had a libXaw.so.7 stamped 1 Sep when that larger port depency build ran on my machine. I re-installed XFree86-libraries from ftp.freebsd.org 5.1-RELEASE/packages and the problem is gone. How do I make a complete X11 system (all binaries, Servers, clients, libs matching -current ?) -- Chris Christoph P. U. Kukulies kukulies (at) rwth-aachen.de
